I simply took my car to Bluffton Tire (South Carolina) to repair my tire... they found a screw in it, and charged me $31 to patch the tire. 2 days later, same tire was flat at my home 40 miles away. I took it to a local tire shop and was told that the tire had been damaged beyond repair... while patching the tire, Bluffton Tire had ENLARGED the hole so that the air leaked out around the patch. The tire could not be repaired, and I had to purchase a new tire. I made sure to get a written statement from the shop regarding the damage done to the tire by Bluffton Tire AND I kept the tire. I also stopped by another local shop to have the tire checked, and received another written document showing the patching ruined the tire beyond repair. I returned with the tire to Bluffton Tire and spoke with Terry Fowler (a manager)... he looked at the tire, said it COULD have been repaired and that the other shop had "screwed" me by having me buy a new tire. I tried to show him the written docs from both tire shops stating the repair ruined my tire, and he refused to look at them. He said there would be no refund... thanks so much for that GREAT customer service!
