Celebrity.cruises

We did a 12 day cruise inc. Christmas and New Years on the Celebrity Beyond, a very new ship and had the Sky Suite package. I will list the reasons we would not do Celebrity again and the positives we experienced.
The Positives: Housekeeping 24hr butler. Excellent. The Sky Suite - Roomy/ excellent.
Of the restaurants, oh my this is where they fail miserably! The steak restaurant gave us a tomahawk ribeye that was flavorless and tough to chew. Horrid. The sushi restaurant, oooooh really tasteless, and the choices were not great either. We found one restaurant that was heads above all others it is at the absolute end of the shop and it is called EDEN. Totally perfect in every way. After trying a few lousy meals we chose to stick with what we knew. As Sky Suite pkg cruisers we had entry to a private part of the ship (very nice) and a private restaurant named Luminae, very nice in all ways. The entertainment is overcrowded, The main live theatre show was great but the games were rushed, poorly put together and short. You barely settle in and order a drink and …. Its over. The Magic Carpet was cool but ithe bar on it was closed far more then open. You could just sit there for the view.
The best was Silent DJ with 3 djs working the crowd to the New Year countdown. Otherwise… meh. Ok
Now for the buffet for all…… Imagine going to Ponderosa every day and get steaks as thin as Twiggy and tough as her fingernails. The offerings were the same slop everyday…. Really poor choices. Nooooo seafood offered the entire 12 days at the buffet. It would take up far too much time to share how poorly it is run. There are good and really poor offerings on Celebrity Beyond and is not, I repeat, not even close to being worth what they charge. Just sharing my thoughts as they came to me.
