Always Best Care

Excuses! Excuses! ALWAYS Excuses from "Always Best Care of Boulder County"
Padding their payroll by adding 15 extra minutes BEFORE shifts started, for time NOT contracted! And said it was to "provide extra necessary services"...? But never told me what those were? Never checked with me or listed any reasons to arrive early.
I asked for mature, competent caregivers... They showed up on the first day with a pregnant teen with facial piercings and tattoos, chewing bubble gum. I sent her away!
Incompetent, young, untrained, lacking basic common sense, unreliable "caregivers"
Reported to me that they discussed my mother's health issues with the resident nurse of the care facility... Hello? HIPPA! This agency provides "non-medical services."
What the hell were THEY discussing medical issues with our Nurse for?
I sat outside with one caregiver, and she pulled out and fired up her POT PIPE! God knows she may have smoked it before and during caring for my mother!
( I don't care if this is Colorado!)
Obviously ABC doesn't CARE if their workers are HIGH! I DO!
I came in one day to find my mother in severe pain as the same POT SMOKING caregiver, had my mother teaching her (the caregiver!) how to knit for 2 hours! My mother begged me to "be allowed to stop" so she could lay down, the caregiver then asked her, right in front of me, to show her (the caregiver) yet another stitch!
ABC should be paying my mother if my mother is teaching them to the point of physical pain!
THAT IS ELDER ABUSE! (And the owner says it is my mother's fault!?)
It was a "bonding" tactic!
That same day, for lack of care... I found dirty "Depends" hanging in the kitchen sink!
Despite having spent 2 hours going over things I requested to be done caring for my mother with Inge the "owner", I had to make up checklists for basic things like moving shoes so my mother didn't trip and making the bed, because nothing was being done during the hours I was paying for care. The caregivers would let my mother nap while they sat down in the lobby for 2 hours- on the clock! Unbelievable!
Said they vacuumed... HA! I had intentionally cleaned and took the vacuum apart and left it in a corner. Found it in the same state the next day... caregiver stated "she vacuumed."
In 6+ months ABC was only capable of giving my mother 2 showers (caregivers are just too lazy!) Owner said my mother was "non-compliant!" (Funny the NEW service I hired, got her in the shower and washed her hair, with NO problem the very FIRST day after I cancelled all services from "Always Ahem Best (Non) Care."
ABC cancelled caregiving with last minute notice, changed the care schedule without consulting me and the only thing they "ALWAYS" had was an EXCUSE!
I got texts and emails of how much they "love my beloved mother" and would "TRY to to better NEXT time." They got worse as time went on... changing staff, charging me for time I did not contract for, consistently doing a SLOPPY, in adequate, unprofessional job!
They blamed their lack of care, on my mother with dementia (NOT ABC's lack of hiring and training, supervising and managing their staff!)
The owner lacks experience, professionalism and management skills.
Everything was my or my mother's fault.
The owner lacks any inkling of management and business skills.
She thinks because she took care of her mother, she can run a caregiving business.
It's a joke! I wouldn't trust a care of a pet rock with this bunch!
Don't buy one ounce of their "we really care" baloney!
They care that pay my invoice much more than they care about the actual quality of the service their staff gives.
I've kept a detailed log of all their failures and will be reporting them to the licensing bureau that approved this sham of a company.
LOOK ELSEWHERE if you want your loved one "CARED FOR!"
STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!
"Always Best Care" is scary and they should NOT be allowed to work with seniors!
