Creative Platform Dubai

I commissioned Creative Platform's sister company, Marina Qureshi Ltd in London, to make a wedding dress. After making it too short and too small, they decided to do no more work on it and withhold my deposit. They would not let me have the damaged dress, try it on again or send it to another dressmaker to inspect it to see if it could be fixed. They said I first had to pay another 50% (but they would not do more work even if I paid this). I tried to negotiate for many months but they kept asking for the extra money before I could even see the dress.

In addition to the above, my experience also was:
- Marina Qureshi Ltd / Creative Platform did not meet deadlines because they kept making mistakes.
- They measured me as a UK size 10 / 12 and made the dress too tight.
- They cut the dress too short before I had tried it on and there was no seam to make the dress long again.
- Marina Qureshi Ltd made social media posts saying that the dress fitted like a glove. When I said that I was not happy with this and that I wanted my dress to be secret before the event, they still refused to take all the images down.
- They also took photos of me without my permission when I was doing fittings and put these alongside images of my dress to create a social media story implying that progress with the dress was positive and good (which was not my experience).

It is a very long story – but I did not know that my dress was being made in Dubai by their sister company Creative Platform. I discovered this after all of the mistakes. The staff work very long hours and are badly paid (see attached job ad) and so it doesn't surprise me that the quality is not good. It also seems that Creative Platform used to be CMT Fashion Studio (which seems to have a bad reputation). I've attached images showing that they have the same address, same words on the CMT website and the Creative Platform website, and CMT posts were put on Creative Platform social media. My impression is that it is the same business but with two names.
