Lux Auto Brightness

Written by Vito Cassisi (good, solid Aussie name, there) this is an Australian site for computer enthusiasts. It was developed mainly in 2008 and was clearly intended to be substantially larger than it is, but after a few tutorials and a couple of reviews, nothing further was added. It doesn't look inspiring, but in fact it contains excellent information about overclocking, the technique of increasing the clock speed of processors and memory for the purpose of increasing system speed. There's a fair bit of misinformation or inadequate information about overclocking here and there on the web. Apart from the enthusiasts who already know what they're doing, others may either be concerned that they won't understand the technical complexity of it all, or simply want to get an application that will do it for them by pressing a button. Both groups are at risk of overstressing their hardware if they don't take the time to learn from an expert, so a good tutorial is very welcome.
