Daily Beast has a rating of 3.3 stars from 3 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Daily Beast ranks 61st among News Other sites.
Tabloid (yellow) journalism is not new, and The Daily Beast follows the tradition. Unlike The National Enquirer etc., who combined late breaking gossip with nonsense, the Daily Beast appears to be mostly secondhand gossip and nonsense. It is choked with absurd allegations from "unnamed sources".
Tabloid newspapers will continue to sell, but they truly are junk, as there is no demarcation between fact and fiction.
I post this to let new readers confirm that anything you read in The Beast should not be presumed to have journalistic standard behind it, The Beast is essentially "click bait" that may be occasionally true.
Tip for consumers:
If you quote this as a "news source", you'll be laughed off the deck.
Fantastic resource! Gives you the option of skimming headlines on its "Cheat Sheet."
And... if you're into bar trivia- a quick skim through the headlines means you're well prepared.
But don't neglect the thoughtful, insightful articles to the left and right.
A smart, speedy take on the news from around the world.
