I placed a large order on 2/17 and the company took my money (upwards of $800) immediately. It is now 5/29 and I still have no dresses. I called and emailed at least twice a week for the past month with no response. Last week, I requested the order be cancelled because the events for the dresses have long passed and I have received no response. Ordered well over a dozen dresses for myself over a decade - fancy Christmas dresses, casual sleeveless summer frocks... of course all with pockets. I also ordered over a dozen matching black dresses in different sizes for a dance company I run.
But now... they no longer deliver. I checked with them in mid March 2024 to see if they could make six more of the dresses for the dance company. Paid for six dresses. These dresses require a plain black knit, thread and zippers as materials. Two full months later, no dresses. They have not begun to sew dresses. They don't answer the phone, and have answered my emails only twice in the 7 weeks since they missed their delivery estimate, with excuses about it being hard to get fabric post pandemic. Promised I would have them my mid-May. No dresses. No further emails. But yet they are still selling dresses with plain black knit fabric online today.

I have left at least 9 voicemails requesting a call back and to CANCEL.
Buyers be warned - this is not the company you have ordered from previously. I have ordered a number of pieces over the years, and have always been satisfied with the quality and service. I understand things are custom ordered and there are global supply chain issues, and I was reluctant to share this experience given my positive experiences in the past; however, I have shared this timeline and feedback with the company and they have chosen not to respond or provide any explanation for the delays.
I ordered 2 clothing items totaling $174.80 they never arrived and when I contacted the company they said it's because the fabric was on back order so I waited another month before I contacted them again to cancel and refund me. They said that they would - that was a long time ago, they will not return my emails or phone calls - they are thieves! Don't buy from them they steal!
I've been ordering from Eshakti for over a decade. 90% of my wardrobe is their customized clothing. I am 5' 11" so much taller than standardized clothing. My arms, torso, legs are all long. Yes, many offer "tall" sizes and this often works. Nothing compares to customization however. I'm small on top, larger on bottom. So out of wack with store bought! So I love the options with Eshakti.
Now for a reduced rating. Given I have purchased here for closer to 20 years, I've been able to see trends. The cost of shipping and customization has doubled, and the time for delivery for some pieces has also been met way outside of the anticipated time. The response from customer service when I use email is non existent or it takes days! I ordered 2 items on February 15th and do not have them as of April 7. Processing returns is a problem when steps are followed yet reimbursement has not occurred 2 months later.
I am a tall, large woman, long arms, long torso, small shoulders, smaller bust, larger hips, it is so hard to shop in standard stores and find the right fit. As well, my taste in clothing is not always in line with what is offered on today's market. Solution, Eshakti. This is my go to for all of my dresses, and occasionally pants and tops. Everything is perfect. Fabric is quality, consistently made to order, sewing is professional, quick delivery! I don't know what I would do without eshakti. Thank you so much!
My product took three months to ship and once it was marked as shipped, it said it would be 10-14 business days. I am still waiting and it's now April (almost 4 months since I ordered) and I have still not received the product. According to tracking it has been delivered. We live in a safe area and have cameras. Nothing ever came. I have reached out via phone and email and haven't heard a word. I'm out over $70 for nothing.
I ordered a dress (twice) in February - standard from the website. No customizations. It is March and no dress. They sure did take my money, however. I have called multiple times, but no one ever answers. All they ask is to leave a message and when I do, no call back. I filed an inquiry on the website, but I got some poor apology for their running late because fabric was delayed due to COVID (four years ago now) and zero update on when I can expect my item or acknowledgement that I will be getting a refund. So infuriating to work with this company! My recommendation is NOT to order from them... I certainly will not again. I question whether or not they are a legit business.
I ordered a dress beginning of February 2024. I received no communication at all. I just cancelled my order because they still dont have the fabric. This is the second time i have had issues and their customer service is awful. Very slow response phone calls are not returned or answered. I have been a customer for many years. Their dresses are great if you can get it made and sent to you. Also when measuring if you want it to fit tight then give exact measurements. If you want movement room add some space on your measurements.

I ordered in Nov. 23; expected delivery date in mid-December. By January, two of the items hadn't even been started. No response to initial customer service requests via web form or phone call. Finally got a response only after I threatened to charge back the payment; they claimed they were waiting on new fabric due to quality issues - no resolution or ETA offered. I followed up asking whether they could ship the one complete item and refund the ones still waiting for fabric - no response. Only once I actually raised the dispute with my bank, I got an email reply from eShakti two weeks later agreeing to ship/refund, but they created a shipping label and after 10 days still hadn't sent the package, and never sent the refund. I had to email my bank again regarding the dispute, saying that if the merchant claimed they resolved the issue, they hadn't. I finally received one of the three items I ordered and the fit and quality have also declined since previous orders. I'm bummed because they used to be one of my favorite shops for distinctive, quality clothes, but not anymore. A delay I could understand, but the fact that they won't communicate with customers proactively in that case, and further would lie about shipping/refunding the items, is unacceptable.
I ordered a white non-customized blouse one month ago for a special event with expected delivery in 15-19 day. There has been no response to emails or phone calls. I hate having to write this review given my nearly decade history with Eshatki. Since about 2011, I have ordered at least 100 skirts and dresses from this company. They have always been good quality and value. However, in December 2023, I ordered 2 skirts which were due to me on January 5,2024. Since about February 1st, one of the skirts had been listed as complete and just awaiting shipment. The other skirt has not even been sewn. I have emailed at least 4 times. On two occasions, the company responded in a form email that problems with fabric delayed the order. I don't understand why an issue with one skirt would prevent them from sending the other completed garment. Or why they do not offer a refund.
I order from fabric customization a lot. However, your website makes it impossible to know what fabric I have actually ordered. Therefore in today's order it appears I ordered two the same dress. The only fabric indicator is a 6 or 7 digit number that I cannot search under. Therefore until I receive the product, I cannot see what I actually ordered. On at least one occasion I ordered the same fabric in the same dress style because i couldn't see what I ordered. If your order page at least gave a written description of what fabric I ordered-- ie pink and black cheetah--it would help customers out. Also I was supposed to get half-off shipping with a promo code. Box to enter promo code never appeared so I paid the full shipping charge. Since you phased out discounts for frequent buyers, that shipping promo code was important to me. I got no benefit from it. Thanks.
I've ordered 3 items from them. Happy with 2 and returned one using their return label. I was never credited for the returned item and have reached out to them 3x's to inquire and have not received any reply. The items I kept are good quality but to not support customer returns for a credit is flushing money down the drain.

I ordered some clothes on the 29th of November, after 9 weeks and no sign of the clothes I cancelled the order. I am still waiting for a refund 5 weeks on. Unbelievably bad service. I placed my customized order on 2/8/24. My order page over the next couple of weeks indicated that it was to be "delivered by 2/27/24." By 2/29 I had neither received my dresses nor had I received an email update, so I called…twice…and could never get through to a real person…I could only leave a voice mail message. I also sent an email. In my messages I said that I was leaving on vacation on 3/6 and was hoping to have the dresses by then so definitely needed an update. No responses. I will not order from them again…and I have yet to see what the quality of the dresses are, which at this point seems I won't know until after I return from my vacation. Now I will have to go shopping at the last minute for a dress to take with me. I am not happy.

Answer: I have been ordering the standard sizes and they are true to the measurements posted. No matter what you put in your height, so the length is always spot on.
Answer: Purchase a dress that is made with the knit fabric. It is flexible and much more loose feeling than the other fabrics. If you do decide to add inches to the measurement, I recommend only adding 1-2 inches AND only add those inches where you like it loser. For example, measure your arms true to size unless you like it a bit lose. Measure your waist true to size unless that is where you like it a bit lose. But honestly, I think you will find the knit dresses to be the best if you dislike tight fitting clothing! I also am not a fan and those are the dresses I wear most often! I have bought other styles, so I have other fabrics to compare it to.
