Good old Evri - can always rely on them to mess up. Left a £120 electronic item on the doorstep in full view and in the pouring rain probably now useless. Notification of delivery time was made at 0930 advising that delivery was due 0900 to 1200!. Wouldn't trust them to deliver an empty cardboard box.

I am sure Evri, like most Couriers, are experiencing higher volumes of deliveries and that is fine as long as Evri move with the times, e.g. in the last few months I have had multiple deliveries dropped at my address, one for me and another parcel for someone else etc. so I have to locate the recipient and let them know or deliver the parcel myself. The Drivers seem to be in a hurry and Evri don't allow a little extra time at the door e.g. elderly people who may have issues, e.g., partially deaf and don't hear the knock/bell easily or a young mum tending to a baby or toddler, imperative that safety to toddlers comes first, then answer the door. Just a little extra time would help. The drivers don't always read the address correctly. I had a delivery last week, large box, and by chance I saw a Driver knocking on a door across the other side of the road, no answer, and thought maybe that's my parcel. He did notice his mistake and I waved the Driver over and it was my parcel. He read the label wrong and he would not have got a reply anyway at that door because the resident died three weeks ago. Good vision, and ability to read details on parcels correctly is imperative. Common sense essential. Evri must understand that delivery drivers in particular are an important part of their business, without them they would have no business, as are the customers who receive parcels, too many errors and they will look elsewhere. Attention to detail, good workforce and customer support are paramount to a successful business, with little or not complaints.

Tip for consumers:
I will find a recent photo of a parcel for me delivered to another address. You can see the door ajar, but not the number so I had to walk up and down the avenue, 40 house on each side to try and identify the door in question.
