Fancy Styles Fabric

I can't believe a business like this hasn't been shut down by the US government. Wish I'd found the reviews first. Same experience: great fabric on sale, purchased several hundred dollars' worth, nothing for a month, sent an email, immediate reply saying it would be shipped the following week. Nothing for another two weeks, except a shipping label created (no package given to the shipper). Subsequent polite emails ignored. Really disappointed. Will try to recover the money with my credit card company, but I would have preferred the fabric. I would understand the likelihood of being scammed by a business in some other parts of the world—really surprised to see this from a US operation.

I came across this site after watching a historical sewing Youtuber's video about where to source fabric. Ordered some once, it took a really long time to ship from a store which (supposedly) is located in California, and arrived in several weird, plastic and tape-wrapped packages, but the fabric was pretty (although I question whether it's truly 100% silk). But it did arrive, which made me think the business was legit, so I ordered again. One month goes by. Then two. Then three. I discover that there's no customer service number, only an email address. Not a good sign. After weeks of sending emails, I finally get a reply from "Jenny," who assure me she'll send a "duplicate order". Which also never comes. Finally, almost a year after placing the original order, I receive an email informing me that it was cancelled. No refund, though, becuase f--k me, I guess. Do not waste your money.

A bunch of nincompoops, advertising beautiful fabrics. Send them the money and wait and wait and wait and wait. Even the rapacious Jeff Bezos doesn't take your money until he SHIPS the product. But these dimwits grab your money and then do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Send them twelve e-mails and then maybe you'll get a response, saying everything is in process...and then wait and wait and wait AGAIN...repeated ad nauseam. Who needs idiots like these? They should REALLY get their $#*! together.

Fancy Styles fabrics are gorgeous in quality but not to be trusted they are terribly run. I live in Australia I have a small income that I work hard for and every year buy some great fabrics for my costumes that I have been making for over 10 years. The quality of the fabric is exceptional when and if it finally arrives. They lost my order from last year and had to send me a replacement months after I notified them about it and was ignored. They didn't even send me all the fabric. They ignore most of my messages and only usually reply when iv bought something else from them. I'm still waiting on my first order from August last year and they just keep ignoring my messages. I don't know if I'll ever see the rest of that fabric again. I feel robbed of time and money.

I paid $50 for one yard of fabric. With their discount it was a $44 purchase. Instead of sending me one yard of fabric, they sent me a sample 6" x 12" 14 days later. They have no phone number listed anywhere on their site or the Web to call customer service for help to complain they sent you the wrong item. I paid with a credit card so I have to dispute my charge with my credit card company. I have emailed this place 3 times now telling them they messed up my order. I have been ripped off. I searched their address on their site and on the Web, and they have multiple addresses on the Web. I can only assume that this place is a scam. Don't use them. Look for yourself on their Website, they don't do live chat, there is no phone number to call them. They take your money and do not send you what you paid for. Super mad.

Found some velvet fabric on line. At Fancy Styles that I liked. Sent for a sample, very nice. Asked a few questions on thieir site via chat (which is not a live chat). Jen very responsive. Answered questions even though it was late at night, which was odd for a business. They advertised a 20% discount, but web didn't work for discount, so contacted them via their chat. They sent me a quote with the discount included. Ordered fabric, hundreds of dollars and promised a delivery date info within a few days. A month goes by, no delivery date. I contacted them via their chat (which is really an email), no response. Tried every day, several times a day for several weeks, no response. Gave them a deadline if no response by the next day, I said I would cancel the order through my credit card company. Still no response, so cancelled through credit card to recover my money..
