The site is run by a bunch of extortionists basically trying to create a furore against crypto projects through unverified and plain false statements. The targets are usually smaller platforms. The MO seems pretty standard - the people running the forum scan the internet to find new crypto projects, study their stats, and identify the ones that are bearish. Now begins the next step of creating a unsuspecting thread on their website ForumCrypto.fr calling their target crypto project a scam or something similar. Once done, the next step is to post a bunch of anonymous comments defaming the project which continues till the crypto project owners do not reach out and pay them some money to remove the false claims on the thread. CLASSIC CASE OF ONLINE EXTORTION.

I lost 100 USDC last year due to these guys. I am usually very careful with all investments, but I was tricked by someone posing on this forum as a party interested in selling some NFTs for a great price. I took a couple of weeks going back and forth on their thread to check everything, however, I was naive enough to fall for the offer in the end. My question is how can this website, the ones running it, allow for such dubious actors to post offers to scam people? And the crazy bit is - once the seller got the 100 USDC from me, he/she was able to conveniently delete the offer from this site and just get away with my money. They should all be held accountable!

Online forums have become a hot bed for scamsters. The forum owners are at times even working for the scamsters. We must do you our own research before falling for what is written on such online forums and websites.
