When FUEL BISTRO AND WINE in Ridgefield, WA opened in our neighborhood, we were in love! GREAT food! Until now...

I was introduced to FUEL by a girlfriend and was so impressed, especially by their sandwiches. I also loved that fact that they were served on thick wood slabs. Cool. I introduced hubby to FUEL and we ate there many times. I also told many friends about FUEL.

Lately, though, my experiences have been awful. About two months ago, I ordered the Hipster, on my way home. When I got it home and began to eat it, I noticed that it was VERY dry... hubby said the same... As I ate more of it, I thought, "This doesn't taste the same." I opened the sandwich up and saw... that there was NO BACON! And NO TOMATOES! What? And, there was no fig spread or whatever they say it is on the menu. That and the fact that there were no tomatoes is why it was dry. I also noticed that the greens (the salad instead of chips) was kinda limp and not super fresh.

Then, about a month later, on the way home, I decided to try the Hipster again... certainly, the same mistake would not happen, I thought. So I ordered it and when I got home, I saw that the bacon was there, but, no tomatoes. Also, the greens did not look super fresh and there was no cheese on it, nor the nuts or dried berries. Hmmmm...

Again, just last week, on my way home, I was really hungry, and, thought I'd give it another try because I have always loved FUEL's food and was so happy that they are in the neighborhood. So I again bought the Hipster with greens. Got it home and saw that there was bacon and tomatoes (without opening it up) and so I started chomping. Then I was chewing what felt like gristle. I chewed again and there was that gristle again. So, I opened up the sandwich and... EEEK! RAW Bacon! The bacon was not even cooked! I couldn't believe this! How in the world could the chef actually put RAW Bacon in my sandwich? I am in shock again as I write this. Also, the amount of greens was about half of what I received in the past, and, it was very limp and one piece was even ROTTEN! AND, the dressing was definitely not what I have received in the past on those greens. Talk about disappointments!

So, obviously, I will no longer be going back to FUEL...!
