“A circus of bad service and bad faith by Google Play”

Brian R.
1/20/22

I have notified Google Play store for over a year that several application developers are in continuous direct violation of Google's policies for developers. I sent screenshots of violent treats sent to me by members of an application distributed by Google Play store. I have seen no meaningful response in over a year. Google asked for proof by screenshot, and I have sent 13 screen shots to date of various abuses, some acknowledged as recieved, but most often their existence is denied. One denial came as a REPLY to the screenshot they claimed to never have received. To be clear, they replied to the screenshot, saying they never received it. Their denial was ATTACHED to the screenshot they claimed they didn't have. Google Play "help" chat agents further "hacked" the chat process to make it look like they had exercised due diligence. For example, before I could post a first text in the chat, they would already have BEGUN the chat by claiming that they had not "heard from me in a while". This establishes a pretext for immediate chat termination without consequences for the chat agent. They pay absolutely no attention to your question or concern, instead posting one pre-composed public relations statements after another with clicks of their mouse. They then have pretext to later claim they "informed" you. You are supposed to pretend that you were uninformed, and be thankful for empty and meaningless public relations spin statements that transparently are not true. For example, they say they take policy violations "very seriously", yet have never acknowledged, let alone put an end to, multiple simultaneous ongoing daily policy violations by a major app developer. They keep you uninformed and outside the loop and powerless completely, and deliberately so. In other words, their whole "help" program is clearly to gather data from you and do whatever they want with it, while explicitly denying any responsibility or accountability to enforce their own policies on your behalf. A couple of days ago, three consecutive chat agents demanded that I send them screen shot proof of a problem, through their mobile help software. They knew that their mobile software is incapable of receiving screenshots. If you are using their mobile software, then Google has to send you an email, to which you reply with a screenshot attached. So their refusal to do what they must to recieve the screenshot, combined with their laying out a text record requesting you send screenshots through software incapable of sending them, sets up a pretext for their terminating the chat on the spot, which they did three consecutive times. Later, another Google "help" chat agent Mark K faked confusion, though I restated both sentences for him and asked which word he struggled with. He refused to specify. He typed perfectly grammatical English nearly instantly. He terminated the chat after five consecutive obviously fake claims of confusion. Google Play "help" is anything but help, and they use and abuse their customers to make money off them while playing every game and trick available to make themselves took innocent while exercising no concern for, let alone observable problem solving, on your behalf.

Tip for consumers:
It is time for Big Tech monopolies to be broken into competing companies vying for customers.

Iphones do get a lot of apps but google play gets 99% of them. On google play most apps are free too. Personally I like google play better than the app store iPhones have just because its more organized and it keeps thing secure

A useful resource for android device users. Tons of free/paid apps to use for any purpose you can use your device for. Loads of useless apps are also present though.

Lots of apps and most of them are free. Great variety and you can base your choice of the reviews or recomendations. What more can you ask for?

If You have ever been to any auction, You know how exciting it can be, and how easy it is to get caught up in the game, to win (no matter the cost). Always start to bid, with a reasonable stopping point. I have heard so many reviews, about Quibids, where people say, its a rip off, when really, they just don't know when to say when, (including myself)! You are the one pushing the bid button and NO ONE is forcing You to get carried away. Bid resposable

I ask Google to help me at times and they do all they can to do so. I get the email when I need to do things that will secure my pages and tell me where to go to help me. I have had problems with scammers and Facebook has the try. THnak you Facebook for caring. I want to thank you for all the time it takes to help and I for one appreciates. Brenda Carlton

Google now collects 30% of the profits right off the top of all platforms that operate on playstore. All these platforms fleece there consumers into buying coins or subsrtion through dishonest and misleading algorithms. Google and its corporate thugs also steal and use all the consumers information including contacts, Facebook, and every aspect of how and when consumers use the internet, the federal trade commission sued Google for braking antitrust laws but settled out of court leaving us unfairly in the same situation. Google is in charge of policing itself the platforms on game store and all the third party apps that operate in it's domain. Frankly this is a major conflict of interest and not in the best interests of its consumers. We. As consumers are entitled to a fair and honest place to play games, date, and find other misc. Apps that are unimpeded by dishonest and misleading algorithms. Right now we have the fox overseeing the hen house!" It's time to petition the fedral trade commission, and our publicly elected officials in both houses for common sense changes that put our needs as consumers first! Starting with having a government agency such as the fedral gaming commission overseeing Google play store and all third party and gaming, dating and misc, apps that now operate unimpeded by inforcement of common decency, fairness or honesty for that matter!" All these platforms cheat using AI and algorithms designed strictly to fleece (TRICK) and (BAIT) you into subscrtion or buying coins. The dice games should be designed to run off a numbers generator that pulls from naturally occurring dice rolls rather then pre determined algorithms and AI. Yes Google has invented AI that can think for itself just like human beings. The algorithms on all the dating sites are set to favor the 5% that are most commonly swiped to the right so basically if your over 50 you profile shifted to the bottom of the stack and never seen even if you subscribe. I can go on and on. These apps are unbalanced and misleading and dishonest. As consumers it is your obligation to petition your publicly elected officials, the fedral trade commission, and the federal gaming commission to change and put a stop corporate corruption and end dishonest practices such as the few I have outined in my post. You can do so by contacting your congressman and senators of your state there contact information should be public.

Tip for consumers:
Petition publicly elected officials for common sense change! and end corporate corruption on dishonest gaming, dating, and misc. Platforms in Google p.ay store...

I contacted google play support about my debit card being charged by grindr without my permission and told them Grindr ran my card 11 times in August 2018 trying to change from $9.99 to $12.49, then to $12.99. Also id lost my old card and my new card # was posted back on google play. Id removed my old card from google play and had not put my new # on it. I demanded to know how it got put on there. I believe Grindr did this as they just refunded one $12.99 and it went on this card. Google play is trying to say i hit a wrong button when on my subscription page it shows I cancelled Grindr in July.

I had some unauthorized charges in December that I submitted a claim for. At first I was really happy because they said I would get a full reimbursement. Then they stated that it would go back onto my card that the original charges had occurred. I've stated numerous times to numerous people that my bank issued me a new card so I don't know if it will work.
I've been repeatedly ignored, I've been lied to-I was told my claim would be in by the 18th, when I contacted them yesterday they said that the refund that was submitted had an error and they submitted it again. They refuse to just mail me a check or give me solid proof that a refund was even submitted.
Do not do business with this website!

I had a purchase declined so went to purchase again which was successful only to find out I was charged twice. Contacted Google to be told yes we can see it was declined and went through twice (admitted liability) was told he would deal with it to then be told it had been refused. What rubbish service which is obviously theft.

Being an android user, I obviously use Play for apps but I recently made the mistake of buying music on it. There's a separate app for it (Play Music) and I originally assumed it would be similar to iTunes. At first I liked the convenience of it, but I quickly noticed that more than half the songs I purchased won't play without internet connection. I emailed customer support about the issue and they never got back to me. After doing a bit of research I found that I wasn't the only one to have this problem and it can apparently be fixed with some assistance from customer support but I haven't had time to phone them. I won't be using Google Play to purchase music anymore. I never had this problem with iTunes and it's ridiculous that I paid for music that I can't even listen to without using data/wifi.

This site is easy to navigate and can be accessed with the google account you've registered
With on your phone via Android Market.

By accessing the site with your google account, you can remotely install apps that you find
On the site to your phone as long as it is connected to the internet via WiFi or 3G/Data.

Personally I found it a tiresome task navigating through the market with my 4-inch phone screen.
With this website, I can view screenshots, view promo videos, read descriptions, read reviews and other
Related specifications (such as requirements for install), in one view on my monitor/TV instead.

By no means is the Android Market on the mobile device clustered or hard to navigate.
Options are everything, and I like having the option of market access via a website so I can see Everything
In a glance on my TV or monitor.

Now I use this site to browse and remotely install apps while lying down on my bed
And watching TV or while working or surfing the web on my computer; while my phone is
Charging on my dock.

Haven't installed an app manually on my phone since discovering this site.
Nor have any of my friends who I've introduced the site/method to.
