I submitted a "Buy it Now" bid for an antique musket on the site Gunauction.com (*******). Gun Auction sent me an invoice naming the seller who requested a cashier's check be sent to his accountant and he would ship the musket. I remitted the purchase price and I received a USPS shipping label and tracking number that were bogus. The seller contacted me and stated that he had shipped six muskets instead of one and that the "authorities" had seized the shipment in Kansas. He then wanted an additional $1267. 00 to complete the shipment. An obvious internet scam. BEWARE of this site.!
Used to be the best gun sales site on the net. Then, management decided that it was not important to treat it's members like customers. They allow ANYONE to sign up with zero security, thus providing an endless supply of deadbeats, refuse to implement security changes to prevent such, as they actually MAKE MONEY every time a deadbeat strikes. Then when they ask for help and suggestions to solve the problem, they ban those who give the ideas. The site refuses to advertise in the mainstream media like it's growing competitor, GunBroker. They would rather continue the bleeding and reducing number of listings. Pity, it USED to be good. I would not try to sell a dead dog there today.

We don't make money when there's a deadbeat. The seller is issued a relist credit, as long as they give the other person a negative review.
Also, we have several security measures. There are more than 10 points that are reviewed before a user is allowed to do anything on the site, and we require credit card information as well. Unfortunately, there are people who choose to bid while drunk, or try to renegotiate after they won. That doesn't happen often, but when it does, it drives people off, like Fred L here. Rock L. Is a sock puppet used by Steve Walker, also known as "WALI", "CBX","RocksGuns","Elandem", "Elandemm", and many others to harass and attempt to intimidate any user he decides he dosen't like. Has ran many good folks off, then laments GA's decline. Fraud, faker, do-nothing.
I remember WALI! Luckily, he's long gone. Haven't seen him around in years. GunAuction's still going strong! We have over a hundred thousand auctions each month, and a thriving user network! #bestauctionsiteintheworld

We actually require a valid credit card from everyone that wishes to buy or sell from a free email. (We also have other secret measures we take. We don't publish those because then people would find a way around them.) This person was just a normal user until they decided to scam.
