Stay away--FAR AWAY--from these guys! They claim that you will "save $xx. Xx" on the purchase, but when you call to book, they charge you "taxes and fees (they said for heliport access, etc.)" which pretty much wipe out the savings, and take money away from the actual company that is providing the service. These "Taxes and Fees" are not charged by the other companies, and they do not remit them to Hawaii for taxes. Further, when you consider this, the "$41.78" they advertise I will save (per person) is dramatically reduced--this is a false claim that I will save this much.
We used them for a helicopter tour, and unfortunately did not look at the reviews for HawaiiDiscount (just the tour company). What a mistake.
After I called them on their deception, they tried to BS their way through, but then said someone from Accounting would have to get back to me to explain (of course, even after a follow up e-mail, I never heard from them again).
They want to force me to take other action to right their deception.
Just book directly with the supplier.

Nothing more to say, just booked a discounted rental through their website, and the reservation was correctly made under my name. Never had to interact with anyone.

Tip for consumers:
After you receive the voucher email, you may want to confirm the reservation with the activity provider.

We paid for transport to the Chief's Luau, Oahu. We were told where we would be picked up. We waited for quite a while, making 3 phone calls during this time. Finally we were told that we were supposed to catch a Trolley bus to get there (which we had missed as we were waiting for a mini-bus). It cost us $50 to get a taxi to the Luau and when it was finished, there was no transport in sight from hawaii discount. One of the other bus companies gave us a lift home for which we are very grateful. I have contacted Hawaii Discount with no response. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I booked through Hawaii Discount before I read the reviews, which made me very nervous. My credit card was immediately charged and I received a confirmation but no tickets, so I called. They answered right away and the lady told me that the day I chose was not available, but the next day was, so I switched and was promised tickets within a half hour. When an hour passed and they didn't arrive I called back. They resent the voucher, I called Pacific Whale Foundation and they confirmed the reservation. Very Happy.

Be ware! Customer service by Melissa was some of the worst I have experienced. I made an online reservation 5 days before an event. I received a confirmation and tickets online and they took my money immediately. Next morning they sent an email to say the event was sold out. It went to my 'junk mail' and I missed it the day we travelled to HI. Hiawaiiandiscount.com made no attempt to call me. A day prior to the event I called to ask about transportation and Melissa informed me I did not have a confirmed reservation. I was in shock and got no compassion from her! She made me feel like it was my fault. She talked over me. She talked around the problem. I had to beg for "other options" and felt at her mercy. Bad experience. Will not use Hiwaiiandiscount.com again. PS there was no 'discount' as their 3rd party booking fee totaled the amount the tickets were from the vendor direct. This was a live and learn experience.

Rented a compact car with these guys for a week on Maui. I have used them before (my old review can also be seen on this site). They just get a discounted rate for Alamo cars which is fine by me. Booked online, everything was smooth.
Only gave 4 stars this time because this time I saved $50, and last time it looks like I saved $100. Also, the email address that Alamo got was not correct so I was not able to get an e-receipt (though cant say for sure if that's their fault).

To anyone planning to travel to hawaii any time soon or ever, stay as far away from this company as possible. The owner/ripoff artist is a liar, a cheat and a thief.

Warning: the owner of this company is very shady. If anything goes wrong at all with your booking, he will dodge your phone calls and refuse to be of any help to you and generally lie to you and your credit card company in order to keep whatever money you paid.

I had paid for a Haleakala sunrise tour via Polynesian Adventure through HawaiiDiscount.com, and the driver from PA failed to turn up the morning of the tour. I called PA directly (since they were the ones I had to confirm the tour with) and PA offered me a free tour the following day and said I would be refunded any cost of the tour I had missed out on.

Lots of talking to PA, in which I found out that they could not refund me directly because I had booked through a 3rd party. Which was fine, until I e-mailed HawaiiDiscount.com to ask them about their refund policy and to detail what happened. They not only got my credit card info wrong, but flat out kept insisting me that I never received a comped tour, and then changed their claim that I went on the tour I had paid for, so I didn't deserve a refund. Called both the phone numbers listed on their website once a day for three days trying to get someone on the phone. When I did finally talk to someone named John, he made it clear he wasn't listening to a word I said because I could hear his cell phone (speakerphone turned ON) the entire time. He "promised" to call me back, didn't, and my subsequent phone calls and voicemails were never returned.

Had to go through a huge ordeal with my credit card company, but it was a good thing that I had exact times and dates of events, names of people I spoke with at PA, and just generally a very detailed account of what happened, while the only reason HawaiiDiscount.com could tell my credit card company was "Customer went on the tour." Both Polynesian Adventure and my credit card company were great though, and both PA and credit card company told me right off the bat that I didn't go for the tour that I paid for on the day I paid for it, so I should get my refund.

Lesson learned: Book directly with whatever hotel or tour company you decide to go with. It's worth the extra $10 or whatever dollars if something comes up. Have also had bad experiences with big 3rd party sites like Expedia where the rates ended up being cheaper if I had booked directly with the hotel, so best to call the hotel directly/check on the hotel website and find out any specials going on.
