“Not possible to stop free trail, so credit card get charged. But eventually all good!”

Probably www.history.extra.com is a wonderful site, but in the free trail I discovered I was not able to understand the video's because of the lack of subtitles. So at the same day I started the free trail I ended it the way I was told in the welcome mail. Now four months later I see my credit card is charged monthly for the abonnement. Follow up: Eventually History.com responded to my emails in a very elegant way. They apologized sincerely and gave a fully refund. And an offer for a year free membership (I won't use this offer, because my understanding of spoken English is not good enough and there are no subtitles, but I appreciate the offer)

This is the website ( http://www.historyextra.com) for the BBC History Magazine, a monthly magazine covering all aspects of popular history. The example that I'm looking at includes in depth article taken from the current magazine that include:

Darfur: The history behind the bloodshed
Changing Times: What can we learn from Victorian ideas on thrift?
The Black Death
Gawsworth Hall, Macclesfield
Henry VIII's surprise appearance
James V's Stirling Heads
Arbroath Abbey
Out and about in February

Book reviews on

The Taste of War: World War Two and the Battle for Food
Myths of the Pagan North: The Gods of the Norsemen
Levant: Splendour and Catastrophe on the Mediterranean

And access to BBC History podcasts

Lots of links to other BBC sites – and generous offers if you want to subscribe to the magazine itself, which includes more articles and the infuriating monthly general knowledge history crossword.

Cool for history buffs!

Tip for consumers:
Pay secure attention to stopping a free trail. And if you need subtitles don't try.
In the end all ended well.
