The company has really bad reviews and I only read them after my purchase. Their emails are really generic so I thought I was being scammed as mentioned in other reviews, however today to my surprise after 5 weeks the umbrella I ordered arrived. The quality is very good. I could only advise to be a bit patient with delivery, at least in my case the item arrived even though they never said it was on the way or sent a tracking #.
Do not purchase from this website! You won't receive your item or a refund. 100% scam. Don't buy anything from a non-renowned site that doesn't take PayPal! Big red flag that I ignored. I assume they're keeping more than half of the $ they receive without despatching the goods, so making absolute millions. Disgusting.

Same story as everyone else. No item received. No refund received. I've contacted Consumer Affairs, written a formal complaint and now I'm in the process of going through VCAT. We need more people to complain so these people can be charged with fraud and closed down! How many more hard working Australians need to be robbed before this company is closed. Please put in a complaint, take the time to go through the process so there is more evidence! I don't want anyone else to have go through this stress and injustice!

Ordered my products in April, only get 3 product out of 7,1 product was broken in 2 piece, 1 product was damaged. Called them on daily basis, they said the some lines, we are sorry, we have delays etc. Rest of my product never arrived, filled up a refund form, but never received a money, phone line disconnected or busy lately, no chance to reach them. Random answer for my email 2 months later where they sent me the refund form, but since no answer. Terrible customer service, very poor quality product. Very disappointing, lost few more then $600 and no furniture for my children. HAP! If you read my review, my order number #*******, please follow it up as you promised many many times!

Do not order from this company, as they have nothing in stock, they try to shop around for products, that doesn't exist! Phone has been disconnected, or always busy. Sometimes they send you a sorry e-mail, and asking to fill up the refund form, that I did 4 times, never got back anything.

For 20 days couldn't receive even tracking number.
Asked for refund.
Was advised that refund would be sent to me. On the 13 of April parcel was delivered.

Sent more than 50 emails, phoned 20 times. Every time: We will pass your concerns to our department.
Cannot reach them on the phone.

Never ever will use this company again.

By the way, as HAP is overseas company, Department of fair trading can do nothing to them. Only need to go through Tribunal, what will cost you money.

I placed an order on the 8th April and today is the 4th May with still no delivery of my order.
Sent numerous emails without them replying and finally get a reply 3 weeks later saying they do not want to honour the purchase as it was marked the wrong price. I would have some understanding if they notified me within days to tell of the issue.
Stay away from this online site!
I purchased a mattress which never arrived and they didn't refund my money either Despite my writing to them several times. They take your money and then send some convoluted story about computers not coping with the influx of orders together with a link for a refund which is never made. They also never send you an invoice.

Please do not purchase any items from this only store. I having been waiting for weeks. They will not respond to emails, chat and phone. I have lodge a scam with my bank and refund.
This company is at best neglegent or at worse just a pure scam. They take your money and then... Nothing. If you manage to get any answers to refund demands by either email or phone, they will promise that your request will be processed, and then simply nothing happens. This has been going on for five months. They have simply stolen my money and then just ignored me. Should be prosecuted if we could find out who they are. Steer well clear.

I placed an order with Home Appliances Plus on 7/4. I rang on 10/4 to try and get my order expedited. After being on hold of almost an hour I was told by a lady in the service dept (located in th Philippines) that it would take 2/3 days to ship. I've been calling pretty much constantly to try and get order. Every time I get the same run around: 1/2 hour on hold with Muzak design to drive you insane followed by a person in the Philippines assuring me it's on its way. On the 21st when I rang I was told it was being picked up by courier and was given a tracking number. Of course the tracking number didn't work because I found out today the following: Home Appliance Plus is just a reseller. They only order the item themselves on 21/4! So all those time I was told 'it's ready for shipping' etc we're just lies. Today I'm told again be patient it could take 24to 48 hours for the tracking number to work. Same old same old. My view is if you order from them you will have two choices: kiss your money goodbye or be prepared to spend hours on the phone/email to annoy them enough to make them send it to you. Either way it's not going to come anytime soon.
Shop around. Deal with a Australian company that has a store front. Don't fall for fake Australian companies based in China or the Philippines that will mean you're at their mercy. In all likelihood you can kiss your money goodbye. 'Home Appliances Plus' I think the plus stands for Scammers

Please do not make the same mistake I did these people are scammers. I cancelled my order as it was taking too long to be delivered asked for a refund. It has been three weeks and still no refund. They blocked my number because I have been calling them every day about my refund. Despite the fact that I cancelled my order they are still trying to send the product to me. I do not want this product any more and that's why I cancelled it. I have moved house so there is no way for me to accept the delivery anyway. I have contacted the Courier and explained my situation so they don't send it to the property. I have reported them to the ACCC and I'm taking legal action until I get my refund. They cannot get away with this it is disgusting and illegal.

Despite a phone call and online chat, one month later ( 7th June), still no advisory to say that product has been shipped. Per all the previous reviews, all the usual excuses and fobbing off! This company has appalling customer service.
I suggested to them in the online chat that they should close their online ordering system until they get caught up with the many thousands of outstanding orders, but of course that was ignored. This is not acceptable business practise! Like many others, I wish I had seen all these other negative reviews before ordering. Never again will I buy from this " company ", and I will be telling all my friends to avoid them like the plague!
Tomorrow I am going to my bank to report them and hopefully get a charge back!

Please please please dont buy from this company, like all the other reviews it is a scam. I purchased goods back in April and nothing, no goods no refund no correspondence! I have reported them to my bank and also fair trading... I hope they go to jail for taking peoples money.
