“Hotels for everyone is a scam”

J s.
7/30/19

Hotels for everyone is a scam - I was redirected to this site by Trivago (I would avoid them as well). I had to file a claim with Visa to get my money back for the fraudulent charges. The scammer's name is Matthew G. Garton his last known home address is 6873 Westwoods Cir, Arvada, CO 80007. The LLC that owned Hotels for Everyone as well as some other businesses is Matt Garton & Assoc. There are some phone numbers listed online for him, but no answer when I called.

This company has shut their doors. They have a message on their phone that says you have to get a refund from your bank. I literally am stuck in town because they charged me $400, cancelled my hotel, and didnt refund me. Trivago used q fraudulent company to book my hotel. Pissed.

Hotels for Everyone is out of business, nonetheless they take your money and they never book your room with the hotel. When you get to the hotel, there will not be a room booked for you. If you realize this before you leave for your trip and you try to cancel the reservation they tell you to get your money back from the credit card you paid with.

Total scam, do not make my mistake, save your money and time!

Recent booking with them through Trivago was fraudulent. A call to their phone number says they are going out of business & contact my credit card company for refund. BUT their website is still up and taking reservations! STAY AWAY.

I booked a hotel reservation with free cancellation policy and cancelled the reservation next day which was 2 weeks before cancellation deadline. Have been trying to get hold of customer service by phone and email for refund. No luck so far.

My reservation was done through Trivago express... At trivago site, it showed that I booked Al ghurair living. But after payment, when I was directed to hfe site the hotel name was different than I booked. So I immediately cancelled my booking and still waiting for the refund... hfe must fix their website and link to avoid customer's frustration... And issue me the refund asap...
So STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD COMPANY

I booked a hotel for my birthday weekend which is at the end of May. I received an email the first week of May stating that hotels for Everyone was going out of business and I needed to contact my credit card company for a refund! On the other hand their website is still up and running. Buyers beware! Do not book with this company.

To start, I really thought I was booking with Trivago, only to miss the Hotels for Everyone, which was listed. I made a reservation, then realized that no where did the breakdown show if there was a resort fee included or not. There was $144 added for taxes and fee, with no explanation as to what Fees were covered. I. e parking, resort city, etc. I called the hotel and they stated I would still have to pay the resort fee as the reservation did not come through there system with detail info. If I still needed to pay the resort fee, then, the pricing was not a deal at all, in fact more, than booking direct. I decided to cancel a few hours later and I have not been able to get anyone on the telephone. Trivago, must do a better job of selecting their affiliates as Contact and customer service is everything.

We lost our money paid in January. The reservation was made in a Hilton. We found it in trivago or booking.com

The hotel has the reservation but not the paid, they dont make responsible...

I wonder how is a Hilton chain could accrpt reservations through this kind of scammers? I doubt if they are not implicated in some of this kind of business

Yep just as everyone else has posted we got scammed as well they took 800$ of our money and canceled our reservation without our knowledge. My question is how does tripadvisor and hotels.com and the others allow companies like this to do business without verification.

I booked through Hotels for Everyone back in March and my reservation is for tomorrow, May 3rd. In March, I thought the process was a little off and I was transferred to HFE after booking online with a company with a completely different name. But after a few calls to the original booking company (a partner with HFE) and the actual hotel, it seemed legit. Unfortunately, I received an email that Hotels for Everyone went out of business and to contact my credit card company because the supplier may have cancelled my reservation. I called the phone number for HFE (I had called this number in March and spoke with someone). Now a recording comes on which just says that they are closing their doors. Hilton confirmed that my reservation was cancelled. I will have to file a dispute with my credit card company. Not ideal but I guess it is possible that they legitimately went out of business two days before my travel stay. :(

I booked a reservation on March 20,2019 for one night on April 26,2019. They sent me an email confirmation. Then Monday before I was to arrive on Friday I called the hotel to confirm my reservation. They did not have us in the system. And they had never heard of Hotels for Everyone. I went ahead and made a new reservation with the hotel directly. I then contacted Hotels for Everyone and canceled the reservation with them. They sent me a confirmation and told me it was canceled. I had a bad feeling all week so the day before I was to arrive I called the hotel again to confirm the reservation I made with them. They said someone had called that morning and canceled it. I told them I had not canceled it and did not give anyone permission to do so. They reinstated my reservation. I have tried calling HFE to get a refund and it is IMPOSSIBLE to talk to a live person. It states on the recording refunds go out in 7-10 days after cancellation but I have not received the refund. This company is a complete ripoff. Do not use them. Trivago needs to take them off their site as an option.

They offered competitive pricing on hotel bookings in a major city so I went with them. However, due to was unable to travel due to weather cancelaltions. Tried to cancel my booking by calling the Denver number they gave us but it turned out extremely frustrating and ultimately impossible to navigate the voicemail loops and talk to a person. Good pricing, but utter failure on the customer care front.
