My initial impression:
Packaging and shipping. Arrived within 2-business days (prime member). Item is a 5of5 for packaging; Exterior shipping box and 2-inner product boxes. Well padded between each inner box and foam padding for the actual item. No scratches/damages upon receiving.
I received this today, plugged it in, it works! Motor is very quiet! I have a stainless bracelet on one watch - with a 'loose' setting - I like to wear my watches like a semi-loose bracelet - not tight/snug on the wrist. The oval mounting insert piece was a bit small, thus allowing my watch to touch the glass as the rotating platter spins - not very good to scuff an expensive watch. Problem solved: I padded the watch insert mount with spare foam padding (and tape) - about 1/4" thick - now the watch fits sung on the mounting insert.
Note: I am replacing my previous watch winder which I had for less than 18 months. I'm a bit concerned at the quality of these tiny motors. I also saved my old one for parts. The spinning platter and inserts the the exact same size, as well as the Japanese motor. I will update this review periodically to inform you all if indeed this is a good buy. If not, then 'good-bye'! Cheers for now
