Check engine light came on on my 2016 Mercedes 3500 4x4 sprinter van but van ran fine so ran it to Alfano Mercedes they reluctantly did warrantee work on injector # 3 (replaced it) They said they drove it 30'miles Speedo said only a few miles. I picked up it barely started knocking and barely running they had no comment. I was shocked! Check engine light came back on half way home. I took it back next day they said #6 is bad now then said water in fuel contaminated entire system VOIDED WARRANTEE! Now I'm stuck with barely running van that only needed injectors under warrantee. I said I've never seen water in fuel light on he said it came on when doing injector. I said show me in computer memory that says "water was in fuel" they could not after voiding warrantee because of water in fuel?!?! They then said it was water and rust contaminated fuel system voided warranty. Said fuel filter was 10 years old in my 8 year old van then found carfax said fuel filter 2 years old less than 500 miles on it. Then Said fuel filter had water in it then said they PUT WATER TAINTED FUEL FILTER BACK IN VAN! (It never had water in it) Then couldn't find water in fuel so said now it's rusted debris and water in fuel?!? NO WATER FOUND IN FUEL! Then said it will be $18,000.00 to replace entire fuel system! The van was now valued at $16,000.00 their estimate! Mechanic said he does this $18,000.00 fuel system change out all the time! Makes you wonder how many fraudulent claims they are doing and not held responsible! Mercedes used to mean substance style and luxury now it means nothing but thieves and ripoffs will lie their way into a voided warrantee so don't count on any Mercedes warrantee!
