“Shill that preys on the current high demand for women's hormone therapy”

Russella S.
1/22/24

Short version: This website is a shill. Don't be fooled like I was. Don't pay them a dime. More extended version (my story): I searched for a provider of hormone therapy and found this website. It featured a photograph of a grey-haired man in a doctor's lab coat. I contacted this company and engaged in telephone and email conversations with Jennifer Canterino, where we discussed hormone replacement therapy. In two separate telephone conversations, she told me she could get a doctor to prescribe it and emailed lab orders to get my blood tested. She emailed me in-depth medical questionnaires, which I filled out with my confidential medical history, date of birth, and social security number. I paid her Modern Health of America company $175.00 on October 11,2023, and $375.00 on November 10,2023, via an anonymous WorldPay portal. Jennifer told me these were for "lab tests." Later, when I questioned her about a promotional email offering complimentary lab tests, she changed her statement and told me the payments were for consultations with "the doctor," who she told me would give me a call at a mutually prearranged time. Michael Disanto called me on Friday, October 20,2023, at 9:05 AM MST, introducing himself as "Dr. Disanto," and, after discussing hormones, COVID-19 vaccines, and my requests, told me he could prescribe injectable testosterone for me. He called me again on Tuesday, December 5,2023, at 11:39 AM MST and told me he "wasn't licensed" to practice in my state and could not prescribe anything for me but would find someone who could. Suspicious, I looked up his name through the Florida Department of Health and the Federation of State Medical Boards (fsmb.org). The Board reported that his medical license has been fined, reprimanded, revoked, suspended, placed restrictions on practice, or terminated in 19 of the 21 states he holds licenses. I telephoned Jennifer Canterino, who expressed surprise at this information. She promised to call me back in late December or early January 2024. I have yet to hear from her. I paid this entity $550.00 and did not receive any of the services or products I was told I would receive.
