I recently ordered two paintings from OilPaintings.com and both exceeded our expectations. The quality is definitely "museum quality" as described. Great customer service. Great selection of frames and paintings to choose from. I choose two from the Hudson River Valley school and they are both beautiful. I've posted pictures of the paintings for you to see for yourself how beautiful they are.

We feel duped. FAR from museum quality as advertised. These are the same quality as one might find at boardwalk "art galleries". Ordered 4 paintings for a vacation home. Paid over $1,000 & waited nearly 4 months w/excitement for TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Did not expect to confuse an expert; but did expect high-end renditions to compliment an elegant room. The paint is so thin that one can plainly see the weave of the canvases from a distance. Because the paints appear to have been applied so sparingly by the artists, the result is a dry and chalky texture, rather than deep layers and rich coloring. One painting has brush bristles embedded throughout the paint. THEN, the framer did not take care to join the frames properly on all paintings, leaving gaps at the corners and opposing carving patterns in the frame design. The comments / testimonials on the company's website are approved by the site manager prior to publishing. Please take time to read OTHER internet reviews. From our experience, the work is fine if one wants a pretty picture to fill space. However, we could have saved a great deal of money, time and embarrassment by purchasing from an art school or a hotel expo sale, rather than the "museum quality" pieces from this company. The contact person, Lowell, was friendly. However, we had to start pushing for a delivery time more than 3 months AFTER the order was placed and were told that they were waiting for the work to dry. Understandable for a museum quality piece. After receiving the artwork, we would truly like to know WHAT MUSEUM?

Above and beyond satisfaction from OilPaintings.com! My painting is breathtaking and absolutely exquisite! You could tell from the painting that the artist is meticulous and has an eye for detail! We are very happy with the oil paintings and frames from OilPaintings.com. They arrived in perfect condition. I want to point out that originally the paintings arrived in different frames than we ordered; however, after informing OilPaintings.com, they quickly sent us the correct frames which are currently displayed proudly on our wall (see photo).

After nearly a year I had to get PayPal involved. I attached three of the four I received. One painting they had their "best" painter re-paint for me. Can you guess which painting is from their best artist? I read a few of the other reviews and would be interested in seeing what they call outstanding paintings. If you do not mind amateur looking paintings then go ahead. By no means are these close to being professionally painted. SOOOO many details forgotten, and unmastered. I will agree that the frames are nice, costly, but nice.

If you are looking for a screen print of a photo, then you have come to the right spot. Not impressed. Waste of money!

I am extemely pleased with the painting I ordered from OilPaintings.com. I ordered a very large reproduction of an oil painting called "A Coastal Trail". The quality is equisite. The colors and details are museum quality. It sits above my living room fire place and I am thrilled every time I look at it. The packing and shipping was excellent! I highly recommend this company.

Love doing business with this company. I had 2 paintings I was not happy with and almost before I could get the words out they were telling me to pick 2 others. No more cost to me. This was my first experience with Oil Paintings and I couldn't be any more pleased. All of my expectations were met and then some. Very professional, my questions were answered in detail, they were always accessible & responded to my follow-up questions AND most importantly, the two pieces I selected turned out as though they were painted by the "original" artists. Absolutely stunning With no hesitation whatsoever, I highly recommend Oil Paintings. It's like having the "real-deal" hanging on your walls. Do expect to wait about 12 weeks. They also came packaged very well.

First of all - read VERY carefully the refund and return policy. Why? If the painting comes damaged, or it is not what you ordered - yes, not your painting - it is on you. They won't pay for the return shipping. Now, if the picture is a large size, it will cost you a lot to ship it insured. Why? The moment the painting reaches them, they will claim it came damaged from you, and again, it is on you... they will not pay a penny. It is stated in their policy. This is one thing. The paintings themselves could be better painted by a blind, or kids, painting by numbers. Most of them do not resemble the reality. Not even close. I know, they are reproductions, but these are bad jokes. In the end you still have to pay the full amount. Don't trust me? Give it a try...
Overall you probably have a better chance to getting a decent picture ordered directly overseas, and shipped here, than getting it from this crooks.
