I am on an older Christmas time deal... cheaper than current offers. I had Wi-Fi issues from the modem after 18 months or so. I was given a new, updated, modem and remain happy.

“Terrible customer service and IT”

I ordered Optus mobile plan, I received all items and confirmation emails fine, but when it came to activating the sim with Optus, it took more than a week to activate. Every time Optus says the sim can be activated within 15mins and maximum 4hour, but I called up every day and try to activate it every day, and up until the 5th day, they admitted that there was something wrong with their system, and the issue had been escalated to IT and it will be resolved within 24hours. It had been ridiculous enough that they couldn't do not properly and couldn't find out the issue until day 5. But what's even more ridiculous is day 6 I called up and they said the issue had been escalated and would 'only' take 3 to 5 business days to resolve(!). What is so hard about activating a sim card on their system that could take more than a week? I escalated the issue to a department supervisor and apparently they can't do anything else except making the customer wait another week(!) And everytime you call customer service, it takes about an hour until you get an answer. What a service!
