I purchased a car from Phil and Sean Newey based in La Habra CA 90631 and had it shipped to England, Covid restrictions stopped me traveling to the USA. With shipping and UK taxes and the car it cost me around $55K. So a fair chunk of change for a classic Jaguar. Before I released the payment I asked all the right questions about its originality. And verified their information back in England with Jaguar Heritage because their advert stated original colour and matching numbers. This company adversities on their site about 30 years experience and matching car numbers. Well don't believe a word of it. They will tell you what you want to hear but not the truth. On arrival it turned out the car was not the original colour and the real kicker they lied about the engine and gearbox. They had sent me a car with a different engine and gearbox after confirming to me in writing that it was original. Along with a radiator leaking coolant all over the floor. Holes in the floor rusted through, steering rack shot & leaking along with the all suspension bushes perished. Dash board gauges not working, indicators and wipers not working and petrol pump loose on the trunk floor. The pictures below show some of the holes in the floor & the top of the radiator where it had been filled on the seam. The mismatching paint colour non original colour and the petrol pump placed non fixed dangerously on the trunk floor. Just waiting for someone to drive into the rear of the car. Please don't get taken in by this pair of liars they are just a couple of low life scam artists preying on honest and decent folk. I even had to listen to Phil tell me about his wife farther flying a Boeing B-29 superfortress in the war. If he did I would salute him if possible. I suspect though he would be rolling in his grave if he knew how his son in law & nephew turned out in life & forged a lifestyle by ripping off decent folk. In the meantime we are in the process of commencing a legal battle for substantial damages. This so-called car dealer gives honest car dealers in the USA a bad name. Complaints also registered with the DMV and BBB.

Tip for consumers:
If you ask someone a question in writing and they respond in writing and you confirm that information as accurate after checking yourself.
However if someone is going to intentionally lie to you in order to misrepresent their product you will have no control over the matter. Your only recourse then is to commence legal proceeding against them.
