Roku3

I have had ROKU3 since May 2013. This device allows you to watch hundreds of channels for free, some there is a fee like Netflix, Hulu... at your choice. But others channels like CRACKLE, POPCORN... etc, have free sitcoms and movies with commercials and no fee. Have not paid for satellite TV, dropped that in May 2013 and saved hundreds of dollars. This way I also have control of which channels get my money that support and give money to certain POLITICAL parties.

I am fed up! My roku still works but my remote went bad. I was told by a TV Technician to go to amazon and order one. I said how will I know which one will be compatible with my roku unit. He said you will type in a serial number. Of course this did not happen there was no way to do so. I picked one that looked like my old one and was to be compatable with my TV. Of course id was not the right one. So I was told to go to Roku,,, hahaha. You cannot speak to a live person everything is chat or choose a topic which was no help except I learned I have a "standard remote" there are at least 2 kinds. You have to go to Amazon you cannot order from Roku. So again I went to Amazon and looked at the standard remotes. One that matched the video buttons I have. No luck. I tried just buying a whole new roku unit. Went to Walmart, had my model and serial numbers ready for TV and Roku. He gave me one and said that would work... guess what. So here I am two weeks without a simple remote, burning up my gas to return or go to a store that may carry what I need. Roku is great as long as you never have to replace ANYTHING. I am waiting for some other streaming device to come out that will work with my TV and will be better. Disgusted in Ohio.
