We have been using their server as 3Dcart before they changed name for Shift4Shop
As a long-time client's tech support as always been low quality from day one.
They spend a lot of time creating new reports and managing sales, and never take care of any small details, like adding a field to add harmonized codes when exporting, for example.

A few months ago they discontinued their internal email service. Unfortunately, we sent messages to them about the issue, but since they replied to the email that used to be on their servers, we could never communicate with them.

Finally, we got to speak to someone telling us the old server for email is no longer working, Result is WE the client need to find some other server and set up our own, they give you a long 5-page explanation on how to set up our own email server, Imagine that.!

Does anyone know of a company where you set up your store and then you need to be an IT guy specialized in email servers?

If you want to waste your time and money, Shif4Shop is the right place.

Other extra features of being a long-time client
Their tech support is always making you feel any bug is your fault.
Help is always a long instruction sheet, and they provide zero real help.
They do not care.

HORRIBLE! Don't. Just...DON'T. Template customization is, at BEST, sketchy, and unbelievably non~functional. Customer service is useless. Tech support is worse...exponentially worse.
Worse, AND rude. RUDE AS HELL!
No one, in customer service, or tech support, actually helps. If it's not something super simple, for instance, you missed tapping a prompt, they just tell you how sorry they are, and send you on your way. They open a ticket. Then you get an email saying, they've "investigated", and can't do anything.
Almost a week with the same problem, and IT'S. NO. BETTER. In all that time, between chats, emails, AND phone calls, one guy, ONE GUY, showed ANY decency, employed ANY patience, was helpful, and genuinely tried to deliver any REAL service. One. Guy.
The last guy was abhorrently rude. Was openly rude & hostile, talked over, and had the gall to deliberately YELL across the room about me, IN THE THIRD PERSON...WHILE he was on the phone WITH ME, so I could hear him.

THAT'S the level of their tech support.
