It´s the best cityguide for Shanghai if you are looking for nightlife, dining and cultural events. Nice Layout too.

This used to be the best website, now lots of places are listed as open that have closed down and also they got rid of the user reviews which was the best part of the entire website. Some pleb must have got in charge and brought it down...

It's a good alternative to more established sites and magazines like Cityweekend, particularly when it comes to dive bars / clubs / music venues. I am a frequent user of its maps (visually helpful) and tips though I dislike the way its voice is too "cool" and pretentious... as if this online magazine was the best and ultimate thing to read on what's happening in Shanghai. Maybe more apt to younger crowds than more mature people. The layout is seriously amazing and rocks, but contents leave a lot to be desired. I also don't like the massive use of profanity in their weekly newsletter.

This party-inclined expat site in Shanghai is quite good in terms of design and structure. It is also pretty good if you are a student or some other not-so-busy person, because it mainly focuses on topics that mostly cater to youngsters. However the website is unnecessarily pretentious in its own special. I personally don't like their "I want to be cool no matter what" kind of attitude. Their dating service is full of pretty weird people.
