Hadn't been to stk & shake for long time so thought would try it again. I wish I hadn't. Went immediately to counter & picked up order. Bottom of bun had so much tasteless grease it was already unsavable. Pulled off wet bottom of what was bun. Found 2 PALE patties that were also devoid of ANYTHING resembling meat flavor. Junk I didn't order on "burger" Tried my best to eat a little but just couldn't do it. Only saving grace out of 2 for $25 meals were the onion rings. They were crispy/ tasty & the only thing I ate. Boyfriend ate more & griped the whole time.
I was asked by an employee to place the order by kiosk. The kiosk took my shake order and applied the birthday reward for a total of 0. No receipt was given. When I inquired about my order I was told by a very rude employee that the kiosk had not taken my order when it just had. When I suggested that she let corporate know about the problem she said that the kiosk was not her concern and then refused to take the order for the shake. Another employee eventually brought me a shake but her behavior and ignorance must be condoned at this location in Alpharetta, Georgia because no apology or explanation was given by any other employee. I am sure she is driving customers away with this behavior. This was at 4 pm when they were not busy. I was the only customer in the restaurant. I was never given a receipt.

I would have stayed away.

Steak n Shake in Chattanooga, Tn. Has to be one of the dirtiest ever... the floors are filthy, the men's restroom is a mess, the walls and floor in the men's room are disturbingly dirty... food is great but who knows what's really going on back there if the rest of the joint is that bad...
It's DELICIOUS. You have to try the Royale Steakburger 'n Fries! Yes, they take a little long but the food is great!
Steak n Shake is generally throughout the midwest, and where I discovered them. But now they have some in the Southwest. All are equal in quality and service. The food is good and nicely priced, great shakes too.
