I couldn't have been treated and more disrespectfully! I will use Jeg' or Speedway from here on out. The tech team was decent but I kept getting wrong parts. Hence tge need for customer service.
I'm not sure who's At fault, Ratech for terrible packaging or Summit for allowing it. Got a box of carrier bearings, Ratech 308tkt, all just loosely tossed in the box and looking used with grit and grease. Timken always boxes their stuff so why weren't these? Replacement kit was exactly the same thing. No Excuse.
Placed order on June 5th, 2 month later, still nothing. Was supposed to ship that week but no. To my surprise there's a string of 1 star reviews on this company I though was once reputable but not the case anymore. One 5 star rating by an employee "Harold D" Yes, for sure an employee for the sake of damage control. But his punk a$$ comment about the 100's of one star reviews stating we are the incompetent ones brings me to a level of wishing I knew exactly who he is and if I did I would rip his yellow spine out and choke him out with it. So EAD Harold D. It's laughable how they try with these templated responses to defend themselves as if these ` star ratings will disappear. GTFOH with you lies and scamming bs. Obviously this company is tanking and will be out of business soon. The fact they able to secure our money without providing the product using a waiting game of attrition, hoping we will forget about the order is scandalous and should be illegal. Most companies, legit companies, charge upon shipping and sometimes not until delivery. I am actually going to not cancel my order but rather report it as fraud with my bank and see about further legal action against them. Perhaps a class action lawsuit will be coming due to all these people being ripped off. They're breaking laws, no doubt and their time is going to up soon. Placed over phone order for #69-230. It stated complete kit. Opened box to discover kit was missing gaskets, contacted summit to be treated with disrespect and harsh accusations making me feel like I was not telling the truth. Requested a return label only to be given a difficult time. I feel that they will deduct the gasket amount from my return even though I never received it in the kit. Summitracing has become a very dishonest and disrespectful place to shop. I am out $30 out of pocket. That's how they make their money. So for now Go Jegs thank you
On April 28,2022 I had ordered a new steering wheel and adapter for my Ford Mustang, I was then advised that the item was on backorder and would be shipped on May 16,2022, I understand backorders and this is not a huge problem. On May 13 I receive another email saying delivery has been delayed to July 14. Not happy with this at all. On July 11 I get a confirmation that the order will be shipped on July 14th, great. On July 18 because I have not heard anything regarding shipping or a tracking number I send an email inquiring about it. July 19th I get another email telling me the order will now be shipped on Oct. 12th.
All these delays is unacceptable and on TOP OF EVERYTHING THIS FIRM BILLED MY CREDIT CARD WAY BACK IN APRIL. THEY EXPECT ME TO WAIT FOR AN ORDER FOR 6 MONTHS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PAID FOR IT.
Never again Summit Racing.
Summit management is so substandard it's amazing they manage to stay in business. Summit believes they can do no wrong like refusing to replace damaged items, charging you for return shipping. Do Not purchase any automotive parts for Summit that are available on Amazon. Amazon makes good on any questionable or damaged item and allows you to ship it back free of charge and refunds your money right away.
The are the worst company I've ever dealt with! Every person that works there lies to you and will tell you something different. Lied about when my order would ship and told me it was my fault that it didn't ship. WORST COMPANY FOR CAR AND TRUCK PARTS!
They sent me the wrong part, so I returned it. They gave me a partial refund. I told them it was there mistake and the woman did not care and proceeded to hang up on me. So I called back and got hung up on again. Buyers beware.
Summit racing has a pretty big name in the car world, you would think as big as they are refunding your money for a damaged part wouldn't be an issue, guess again! Spent $63.48, got back $50.77...
Maybe since they told me to keep the damaged parts and box they figure were even? Do better people!
I receive a shipment that was damaged, I know it was most likely not Summit's fault. However, they choose who they work with for shipping. Maybe choose better partners. Customer service offers no empathy or responsibility for any situation. Basic robot talk! The last trashy ghetto female I spoke to can take a long walk off a short pier. In the end, I lose time and money waiting around for the shipment due to Saia and Gills shipping, I don't get my part and have to wait even longer for my refund to buy my part elsewhere. Summit has been on a downward spiral with customer service and hope they can find a recovery strategy. I don't think they are worthy of being on the toolbox anymore. I will replace with Texas Speed and Performance!
Very pleased from the service and fast response I received dealing with Summit Racing especially from a International Customer from New Zealand... parts have turned up extra quick and as described 10/10
They waited four days till Sunday at 5am to email me twice there was an issue with my debit card turns out it was a problem on there end and they could not fix it and wanted me to call back Monday so I cancelled my order and will spend my money after another 4 day of waiting for it to repost to my account at another company what a mistake Using this company was
HAD A MESS WITH SHIPPING AND DIDNT RECEIVE ALL MY PARTS. THEY SENT A SECOND ORDER AND WAS MISSING A $540 PARTS THAT I ASSUMED WENT ON BACKORDER BECAUSE THEY SAID ONLY HAD 1 LEFT. NOW NO PART AND NO REFUND.
I contacted Summit Racing after receiving an email that said we had a refund posted to our account. However We had been waiting on a part that was scheduled for delivery that day.
With no hold time, I was directed to customer service. The customer service representative that I spoke with (sorry I cannot remember her name I am terrible with names) was so polite. I explained my issue and after reviewing the account it turned out that Fed Ex had returned our package to them as undeliverable however Fed Ex tracking showed that the package never left their facility let alone tried to deliver it.
The representative apologized for the error although it was not the fault of Summit Racing, and promptly went to work on reordering the item and again sent it out 2 day Fed Ex. This time the package was delivered as promised and in excellent shape.
The only bad experience with the ordering process was the fact that I had to pay the shipping charge again. THIS WAS NOT THE FAULT OF SUMMIT RACING and the blame is solely on Fed Ex themselves. They are the ones who should be refunding the first shipping fee as they never processed the delivery but turned around and marked it as undeliverable and sent it back to Summit Racing.
The entire phone call took less than 10 minutes and in the end we received our part as promised by this wonderful young lady.
Summit racing is a joke. 3 Transmissions later we still don't have one that didn't have metal shavings in it. I WOULD NOT recommend this company or its parts.
Ordered $80 in 67 Camaro rocker moldings plus $20 for oversized shipping. Might as well shipped it in a paper bags. Came all bent with no special labeling. Ended up getting refund but they tried keeping my shipping cost saying I ordered a can of paint with it. Told them the can wasn't oversized was it? They ended up refunded me that too but ridiculous his they shipped them.
Placed a order inside store for a part that had to be shipped to me. Got the part thinking all is well, went to get it installed only to find out it's the wrong part. Contact them and all they can say is order the correct part and we will give you a discount
Ordered a 700 dollar exhaust that specifically said it would fit my vehicle and It wasn't even close to fitting. My current exhaust was ruined in the process of removing it. I returned the exhaust which they were very quick to pick up but almost a month later I still have not recieved my refund. I am now left with a faulty exhaust and no money back from my order. I have contacted them multiple times, being provided multiple dates that I would receive the refund and it never came on the days they said it was. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE. They are inaccurate with their understanding of what parts fit certain vehicles and are a pain when it comes to getting refunded for their mess up. Will never consider buying from Summit Racing ever again.
Ordered hood for my 1980 Toyota pickup. Promised for Oct. Then Nov. Then Feb. Got hood in March damaged. Said hood was backordered and would not be in until after June 20th. I do not recommend you buy any body parts. Second time body parts came in damaged. No excuse. I was patient but no longer. Now they want twice as much for the same item if I order again. Go fish.
I called summit racing to order a crate motor. I was looking to purchase some thing they had in stock ready to ship. We found a suitable motor and i asked for them to setup shipping to Ak. At witch point I got a quote for next day air shipping and wow $2000. 00. Way out of line. I asked the sales representative to get me a quote for truck freight shipping. He said that he would be happy to do this and said he would call me right back. He never did. So I called them back and ended up getting a different sales representative. He placed a new order. Taking advantage of Summits free shipping in the Continental United States I had them ship it to a shipping company in Washington. Who would ship it from there to Ak Which put shipping costs at $500.00 way better. I was told it would ship the next day. (This was a outright lie) and to expect delivery in 4 days. After the 5th day I called customer service to get a trcking number. At this point I was told that it has not been shipped yet and it would be a week before it would ship. Still not getting a tracking number I tried to contact summit to get a tracking number and that's wen summits customer service would answer the phone and hang up on me without talking at all. The first time I assume this was a accidental hang up. Nope! They did this three more times and then blocked my number.
After summit got my money they were finished. I will never be doing Business with Summit Racing ever again!
Answer: I bought a creeper from them and they seem legit. I received the creeper, contacted support as creeper was defective and received a new creeper from them.
Answer: Compared to a lot of the other places I called Southwest, pertronix, and a handful of others, Summit performance parts was the only ones that answered and I was connected very short. Of time very happy with the phone option to speak to someone very knowledgeable as well.
