“The Devs Figured This Out”

The review system on this site lacked more stars for Value for Money! I don't have much time to "figure it out" this software out of the box is built for those with a busy schedule, and the software figures it out. Is it perfect? Well, nothing is. But I'll give it a 99% out of 100%. By far, the best software and the most economical price are offered. You get what you pay for, but sometimes you stumble across something that you didn't pay enough for, yet it still blows other products out of the water. This is one of those products! I've used this product for years. It is the EASIEST/Self-started software that I've come across, and not sure there is a competitor in the business that offers what you offer with ease of use system-wise. I oversee, some as CEO and some as only a board member, moving forward, never worrying about our competition as we were too busy obtaining market share to worry. As a C-Level executive, I'm the guy you might email once or twice, as I might have missed the point with the hundreds of emails each day. My job as a CEO boils down to making 2-3 good decisions each day. Doing that keeps the companies moving forward with swift execution that in our markets we operate in, excel at obtaining market share. It helps to be on page 1 of googling for our industries organically. Camtasia helps us accomplish that goal! Thanks for all you do, TechSmithDevs & Team! #HappyCustomer!

“Poor customer service”

I bought Snagit. I asked for a disc of the same so that when out of internet if I had a bad crash I could reload it. I was charged for the shipping and disc. I downloaded the software and never tested the disc. 15 months later I had the crash and tried to reload with the disc. It did not have an EXE file on it. I traded about 4 emails, sent a picture of my receipt and was told that they don't offer discs and more and that I was out of the 30 day return policy. So in short, they sold me a defect part and would not stand behind it.

We are a small educational organization that made some interactive videos with Camtasia. Because they used interactive features, we hosted them on techsmith's website. During the pandemic they sent us a message saying that all videos that hadn't been accessed in a year would be deleted. We thought we were fine because there are teachers who use our videos every semester. Then they deleted the videos anyway. When I contacted customer support, they told us there was nothing they could do. Bottom line: don't trust TechSmith to host your videos.

Camtasia is supposed to be the market leader. Yes, if you like software that freezes and causes problems. And a company with poor, slow customer service.
I herby confirm I have purchased the software directly from Techsmith and it is a 100% legal product.

I've used TechSmith's Camtasia for years. I've upgraded several times. Their customer service has always been exceptional — kind, professional, & helpful.

Then I decided to purchase Audiate.
First, I could never login. I emailed for help. No response. I called… no response. After several months, I tried again & was helped. I could login & said I'd take it from there Snd poke around. When I tried to login again the following day…again didn't work.
I finally got through to customer service again who helped me login, but when I asked for a credit, I was told I'd only receive a credit for one month. Even though it took 4 months to get help & they could see I didn't/couldn't login once. After the. They've been caustic, rude, and generally miserable. We started posting about them online because customer service was no help. They offered another 2 months credit, but refused to refund the $30 for the final month to make it right. WHAT?!?!

At the same time, they had the nads to solicit an upgrade request for Camtasia.

Here's the real deal — there's absolutely nothing you can get from Camtasia that you can't get from Final Cut Pro.

They suck as far as customer service.

Overall — skip the crap & get the goods with real support.

I will never use TechSmith again.
They don't value their customers.

Sure it took a while to get 60fps but its there
Sure its not after effects but it renders 1080p 60fps videos
Sure its not premier.
But you can edit a video in litteraly 5 mins and move on.
It is from my opinion more then ull ever need for a proper youtube channel... simply no freakin needs of a high end studio editor for a dam gaming video.
Has long your encoder is at 60fps at fast paceds heavy intensive games its all good

This was a go-to lifesaver app when it was Jing. Whatever garbage "TechSmith Capture" is, leaves me sad at best but mostly angry. I'm not a tech person or a reviewer. This was simply a good app turned garbage.

Did not make it past the "crashing" trial (first day erased) period offered on Camtasia. The tech staff (3) were clueless. Knowledge from sales staff to others is minimal. If you wish to drive an 80,000 lb rig around this may be the place to begin!

I recently purchased Camtasia and SnagIt. The are not only superior products, but are backed up by excellent support and a strong user community.

Today, I added an annual subscription to their ScreenCast service.

I purchased Camtasia and SnagIt bundle through Amazon. It is the same price as purchasing directly from TechSmith, but unfortunately they used Digital River as their payment portal.

This is the only negative thing I can say about TechSmith is that they use DR. See my review of Digital River on SiteJabber for a view on my experience with them.

Fortunately, when my DR purchase was rejected I was able to call TechSmith directly. Their sales department took care of me in a professional and courtesy manner.

I can't open an projects and they have horrible customer service. You may as well use Youtube editor...

This is where you can get free software for creating screenshots and videos of what's on your computer monitor. Very intuitive, easy to download. I use this bit of freeware more than anything I've ever tried. It's a lifesaver for anyone who has ever tried to guide someone through a computer task.

Website of products made by TechSmith

Software products that they offer are of extremely high quality, my favorite being SnagIt and Camtasia, a screen capture software and a screen record/edit software. Very high quality, trojan/virus/scam free. Highly recommended.

I purchased snag it for my home PC. The desktop icon disappears often and keeps trying to update to a newer version. After reaching out for IT support, I got instruction that did no good. You can speak to a live human because they are to busy hiding behind their web page. It once was a great product now it is not worth the money. No customer service and seeking an alternative program. Save your money. If IT support is not there, you become the testing dummy for Tech smith.

Warning dont subscribe to these guys emails! Although in the UK I think it is illegal not to be able to unsubscribe from emails, when I try to unsubscribe from theirs, I always get HTTP500 Internal Server Error, and if I log in and manage subscriptions the page is always not found. They have clearly made it impossible to unsubscribe.
