I simply walked in a store, not knowing anymore than I had read about massage chairs. I was greeted cordially by Tom's wife, then proceeded to become gradually educated by them as well as experiencing the many chairs on their showroom floor, one by one, with no rush or pressure. I came back a second time with my wife and made my informed decision. Very pleasant experience.

My shopping experience was very positive. Tom made me feel comfortable from the moment I stepped into his massage chair showroom. He answered all of my questions and was professional. He went above and beyond by helping expedite the process to get my chair in my home at a time frame I requested. Delivery was very smooth as well.

Tom our salesman was UNBELIEVABLE… first off his knowledge of the chairs was extensive, his communication was immediate and any concerns were dealt with right away. Chair was purchased 10 days before Christmas and even though I was told it most likely wouldn't be there before Christmas it arrived on the 24th! There was a mix-up as I had requested and paid for white glove but the delivery drivers were not told or nor were they capable of putting together chair so ended up watching YouTube and it was actually really pretty simple and only took us 30 minutes. When I told Tom that night at 8:30 Christmas Eve through email he contacted me right away and said they would either arrange for someone to come over on the 26th but when I told him we had done it he refunded my money ASAP for the white glove. Tom definitely understands customer service and excelled at it. Would absolutely recommend Tom And the Modern Back

Fine communication with staff. Delivery staff were Great! Chair is a disappointment- I need to straighten out my back occasionally. This is absolutely NOT possible in this chair. One must be bent at the waist in all positions. So I often have to get out of the chair and stretch out on the floor to get comfortable. Such a disappointment!

It happens that I dealt with the owner. His knowledge about different chairs and their what each had to offer made the purchase an easy decision. The firm was very helpful during the process and I would highly recommend them to others looking to purchase a massage chair.

This was the easiest purchase I have ever made. Came into the store, met with sales staff. I was treated with respect and was educated on all the models they had in their store. I got to spend a lot of time in each chair seeing which models best suited my needs. A chair was selected and financials were discussed. Less than a week later, the chair was delivered, set up, and I was taught how to use it.

Tom and Ann Maire didn't provide a polished sales pitch, just the needed knowledge on buying the right chair. They encouraged us to try out various chairs after learning about our needs, but with a focus on us. My husband needed good foot rollers, but light pressure on the neck. I am the exact opposite, so they showed us the chairs and how to make adjustments. They have a nice big screen on their showroom and showed us various aspects and components of the chairs. Which were all easily located online, but they took time with us and we never felt rushed.

The end result is that my whole body feels like it was 25 years younger

All I can say is that I would buy from them in a heart beat

Tom, was very patient while I tried the variety of massage chairs in stock. He was thoughtful and explained the difference between the models as I was experiencing each chair. I finally ended up on settling for one and then the crew that did the delivery and set up was fantastic. Thank you guys for everything.

I replaced my old massage chair with the Osaki Highpointe 4D from The Modern Back store right here in Sarasota. Tom and his wife, Anne Marie are just the best and have a good assortment of quality massage chairs to try and buy. Their service was outstanding and I highly recommend them if you are in the market for one. If I can, I love dealing with a local, family-owned business right here in Sarasota rather than a large box store. The personalized service is much better and you are helping your community. Plus, they are right here if you need further service in the future. I got the white glove delivery and after watching Charles and his brother-in-law doing the assembly and the install, I am certainly glad I did! It works great and I look forward to many years enjoying the chair and know that if I ever need service on the chair, The Modern Back folks are right here in town! It's a win, win.

Great experience in buying a massage chair. Tom was very helpful in helping me to select a chair and provided delivery to my house and set up.

I've had the Daiwa Supreme Hybrid chair from Modern Back less than a month. It was delivered sooner than I expected. All I had to do was point & it was set up exactly where I wanted it in my bedroom. Make sure your doorways are at least 32 1/2" wide, or they'll have trouble getting the unassembled chair through the doorway. After it was set up I started with a 10 minute massage program that put me to sleep. I'm still experimenting with different programs & adjustments to customize my massage sessions. A few of the programs need to be adjusted for my liking because they are too intense. It would be nice if in the future Daiwa does a software or firmware update for personal program memory & settings. Overall I give the chair a 9/10. Modern Back gets a 10.

You have the room with 8-9 massage chairs for yourself and can check each and everyone out as long as you like a great place to spend a few hours if you want!
