We had a party of eight that ate here before a production at the Orpheum Theatre. Our server looked like he didn't want to be there. I ordered the Rueben sandwich and it was the worst I've had. The meat was dry, there wasn't much thousand Island on it and there was barely any sauerkraut. I had ordered it on sourdough bread but it came out on rye. My daughter ordered their very pricy and very small steak for $55. She ordered it medium and when it came to our table, it was medium rare. We looked for our server and he was nowhere to be seen for 5 minutes, so we asked another server if she could have them cook it a little longer. As in most restaurants, they brought out a new steak, this time it was medium well and very tough. They had taken my daughters steak knife back so she had no knife. Again we were looking for our server and again nowhere to be found. Five minutes later, he came out of the back. I had to go to him to get a knife. We didn't have time for them to cook another one, so my daughter choked it down. When it was time for our bill, he put everyone's meals on one tab...without asking if that would be okay. One would think that they would be back in about two minutes to collect payment, but it was seven minutes later. We asked him to please put each couples meals on their own tab. When we got our bill, we saw that each of us were charged a 20% tip, along with another charge of 2.8% to help out with their salaries! I'm like what? This lazy guy just got $70. In tips for doing a horrible job, then we get an additional charge? How about paying your employees instead of asking your customers to help out. It was a Saturday night and about half full, now I know why. I emailed their company about our night but got no reply, so I wrote them a letter and sent it to the owner and again no reply. Needless to say, none of us will ever step foot in that restaurant again and would never recommend this place to anyone as they obviously don't care.
