I called up The Vets to treat my Pomeranian for a suspected UTI as she was piddling all over the floor. She also had occasional diarrhea,. As my dog was a rescue I also asked for a full check up and a rabies shot.
The visit went well and an in-home follow up was scheduled. They prescribed a pill for the suspected UTI and told me to change her diet a bit to firm up her poo.
So far so good.
A day or two before the scheduled follow up they abruptly canceled on me saying they couldn't treat my dog. Huh?
Not wanting there to be a lapse in her care and recovery (They prescribed a medication that really didn't work.) I scrambled to make an appointment with another vet. Lucky enough Companion Animal Hospital had an opening and we brought her right in.
Thank goodness.
It turns out my adopted dog was chipped. The Vets said she wasn't chipped.
She had a stomach infection that The Vets didn't pick up.
The Vets also failed to detect a skin infection that had been festering.
On top of all that, an inner ear infection wasn't diagnosed. Totally missed.
That poor little dog suffered unnecessarily because of the various failures of The Vets.
When I sent the report to The Vets with my refund request they told me to get lost.
If you love your pet call a proper vet - not "The Vets". They are incompetent, uncaring and unprofessional.
