Traderlion

I Joined recently (during a rough market) and have learned quite a lot from their process. The hardest part has been (and continues to be) to unlearn the many stock market fallacies acquired over the years.

It is a great site for learning the market, but not the place to go if you expect winning stock picks to be handed out just because you subscribe. Regardless of many advertised claims otherwise, that place doesn't exist. There are plenty of sources that offer stock picks, some of which are free, many of which are scams. TraderLion's Private Access is neither, although they do have many informative free videos on Youtube.

They don't offer specific stock picks but do list stocks in categories with relatively high fundamentals, as well as info on entry/exit points and related criteria.

Most of the videos I've studied are very informative and excellent though sometimes repetitive; but the reinforcement is a positive.

While all the info may be available by googling and reading a few books, that process leads to information overload and a corresponding divergence of the thought process (empirical). It does no good to have the entire internet as a source if you can't converge on specific information quick enough to be beneficial in the moment.

Upselling is prevalent in contemporary market societies since long before the internet, and should bother no one.

This is a great site if you're disciplined and determined enough to expend the effort, and have the potential, to learn.

I give them 5 stars even though their website is rather cumbersome to maneuver; they are educators after all, not website developers.

Traderlion provides almost no value for the $1000 NON REFUNDABLE yearly fee. (No monthly or trial subscriptions either!). Just a bunch of bad stock picks, weak how-to videos and constant pressure to up-sell to additional courses costing more than another $1000 each in addition to the annual membership.

Now, these jokers are charging around $3000 in advance of the release (non refundable of course!) for a "founders subscription" to some sort of half-baked beta version charting software program called Deepvue. The program is not even publicly available, and cannot be downloaded for a trial. Deepvue looks like a simple spreadsheet with colors, and has very limited functionality. Of course, they say it will improve over time. Riiiggghht! This advance payment scheme may be illegal, if not this kind of scam certainly should be.

All of the information on Traderlion can easily be found for a fraction of what they are charging just by googling and reading a couple of books.

One of the things that bothers me the most is the attitude of arrogance that comes off like stink from all the Traderlion employees. Quite full of themselves, when these jerks are really just full of sh*@.

I feel like I got ripped off, with no recourse. Really wish I'd never signed up.
