Wish I could give a negative number rating. I switched my coverage from another provider, for 2024, to United Healthcare. In an effort to get fully set-up in their system I attempted to register my account with the information on my UCard. First, there was nothing that I received from them, in printed form, that directed me to any website that they may have. Using Google I got to their "Official" site and attempted to follow their on-screen prompts. That didn't work, it didn't reconize me. So, I tried using 2nd, their bot software and was directed to web pages that did not have the prompts that the bot told me to look for and no pathway accomplished what I needed to get registered with them. 3rd I tried using the help button, that used an example of where information was on my card that didn't look anything like the card I was holding in my hand that I just received from them for my 2024 proof of coverage and plan benefits. If they can't get a new participant in their system, to spite the physical mail I have received from them; what should I expect when it comes to medical billings, co-pays and my coverage? We all know how strightforward and simple that is. If history is a teacher and this is how my relationship with them starts, I have no doubt that I am in for a total $#*! Show.

I used to be a UHC Employer Group employee! Let me start by saying how horrible the job is! And no it's not Company it's the Horrible Retirees that call everyday for literally EVERYTHING don't call us to tell us someone called you just STOP ANSWERING YOUR PHONE AND LET IT GO TO VOICEMAIL AND THEN BLOCK THE NUMBER! UHC sends out this wonderful book call an Evidence of Coverage or your PLAN GUIDE or Go to the website (retiree.UHC.com)! This book and website answers all those stupid questions you retirees call us for asking about your benefits. READ YOUR MATERIALS! We have a metric system that we use. We as employees get dinged on our performance every time YOU RETIREES call in 2 or more times with in a 24 hour period we get dinged if you leave anything less than a 10 on the survey and we get dinged even if you retirees say hello a lot or even sigh! So with that how are we supposed to love our job! And trust me they offer us employees this Wonderful thing called Voluntary Time Off! Yesssss we take it we would rather take the day off WITHOUT PAY THEN TO ANSWER THE PHONE LINES WITH RETIREES! THAT SAYS ALOT! That is the best part of the company! Yea yea your probably gonna say get another job and your right I did but, believe me when you call ALL the advocates feel the same way I do we all hate dealing with the retirees and their NEEDINESS! Just read your books and quit calling so much especially about bills and claims call the billing on your statement you really don't want to call us all we're gonna do is call the billing on your statement! So you might as well do it yourself! If your gonna call ask easy general questions and call for yourself not your friend,mom,dad,sister, brother or spouse y'all are big girls and boys be independent handle your own business. Now GO SPREAD THIS KNOWLEDGE TO ALL THE RETIREES YOU KNOW THAT HAVE THIS PLAN SO THEY KNOW HOW WE ALL FEEL! And NO I don't care how it makes you feel but now you know how WE FEEL! Ugh
