VIN Check Up has a rating of 1.0 star from 26 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. VIN Check Up ranks 616th among Car Buying sites.
The website claims the report provides vehicle title and sales info, it DOESN'T! Called customer service multiple times and no answer; I left 2 voicemails with my telephone # and account ID but no response! NOT even close to what you pay for. Although CarFax is triple the price, you at least get all information about a vehicle. I CANNOT recommend VinCheckup!

As others have said, this site is scammy - insofar as sending emails to sellers acting like potential buyers, when the reality is they're just trying to swindle as many people as possible to buy their $15 misinformation about their vehicle. (They say under $12 in their bot email - can't even get that right.)
I can't confirm whether or not the scam goes beyond taking $15 from you, as I was lucky enough to look up reviews prior to purchasing.
Do NOT give them your card info, and report the site as many places as possible!
No maintenance records, little real data, a waste of money! Essentially a content free report that you have to pay for.
If you want to pay for a internet search to find out the manufacturers ratings of the make, model, and year of the vehicle you are interested in then this is the search for you! Why use the convenance of a free search when you can pay to get the public data this paid service will provide.
The search I paid for returned no service history, no registration history, or any accident history. In my opinion, not worth paying for at all.
Submitted a VIN to research a car, and the report returned virtually zero useful results. Everything was "nothing found" including accident history when it turns out the vehicle did have a significant insurance claim on it.
Price is too good to be true - don't bother with them - they won't refund if you're not satisfied. All they do is hide behind some fine print that says their data comes from multiple sources, accuracy and completeness cannot be guaranteed. Well what good is that then.
Do NOT use this website. I purchased a report on a vehicle where I knew that it had been in an accident and totaled because I just bought the engine from that car from a junkyard. VINcheckup sent me a report that claimed there were no accidents or salvage info on record when I found out that information for free on other sites! The only information in the report was specs about the car and even that information inaccurate.
This is the worst site to use to try to get information ever! I wanted to get basic information like lean details,,Mileage and Warranty info. The owner had already disclosed to me that the vehicle was written off last year because it was stolen and the interior was set on fire and he purchased it back as salvage. This report showed there was not salvage, theft or fire details - indicated that everything was ok. It did not even include simple data such as the city or hwy fuel consumption. I found more details on the vehicle on free sites. Very disappointing.

I entered a VIN, it came back and said there were recall notices, problems, accidents, service records. I bought the report and every item said no problem found or no data reported.
Complete waste of money.
The report was for the wrong vehicle... They said because they are an info company they don't guarantee the accuracy of their information because their SOURCE may not be accurate. BEWARE! They gave me miss information for my money! Seems to me it is a SCAM!
Tip for consumers:
Their information may be completely wrong and they will not refund your money.
Vin Check Up is cheaper than Carfax but the information is so generic, it amounts to nothing, dont use them!
I paid $20 for their vin lookup service. There was so much information missing that it was worthless to me. $20 wasted. Avoid!
Here is a screenshot of a message that I got from a "prospective buyer" who provided a link. They're just drumming up business and the reports are bogus.
I'm not sure whether Vincheckup is a phisher or a fraud. The report I got back was of no value. No phone support. Dubious address in Boston.

VIN REPORT
It doesn't say anything. I was checking a car with issues and accidents which was detailed out in Carfax but this report I bought doesn't show anything. All it says is no information. Don't buy this report!
The Preliminary Report indicated accident records were found. After paying, full report said that no record actually exists. Website LIES!
Tip for consumers:
System LIES!!!!!

I requested to view 1 vin. 1.38$
I haven't checked my banking in 4 weeks an these guys charged me over 900$ in 4 god damn weeks. YOU GUYS ARE CRIMINALS
Based on the VIN Check Up report it shows a car with 28,000 miles reported, and no issues. Yet the car seems to have close to 200,000 miles with a prior accident and obodometer rollback, per CarFax. Will be requesting a refund but based on other reviews it will end up being a chargeback.
I entered my Vin number from my truck and then paid the 14.95. The only correct info in the report was the year and make. Report said longed, I have a shortbed, report says 4 doors, my truck has 2, report says v8 5.7 liter motor, I have a v6 4.3, report says only 1 owner for 18 years, the truck is 20 years old and was a county truck from Oakland and I'm at least the 4th owner, report says I have a 34 gallon fuel tank, its a 26 gallon and so on. At the very bottom in tiny writing, after I paid for the bogus report, it says the report may be inaccurate and they don't create or guarantee the accuracy or amount of information in they're reports. Total joke.
Tip for consumers:
That they do not create or guarantee the accuracy of they're reports.
When first entering their canadian website, they claim that they can make reports of canadian cars which I found out ain't truth after falling for their trap. Once you get your report, the.ca website you were on become the.com website and you find yourself with a reports made with data from the US when trying to look up a car from Canada. I know this since carfax canada says that the car have been in an accident and is now a rebuilt but vincheck up says that there never was an accident at all and there is 0 information about the service the car got.
Useless report! No real information at all. No accident report, no previous owners report, no prior lien report.
Terrible vin checker gives no useful info, doesn't even give you the color, or in service date, even got the type of brakes wrong, big waste of money, use Carfax.
GO SOMEWHERE ELCE! They gave me a report with invalid data and won't give a refund. They just send you pages of a long legal writeup blah blah they have. Yet I got another report from a different company that was perfect! They can't explain that though. What a RIP OFF company AMHED P has there.
Tip for consumers:
DON'T use this site. Invalid data given for VIN information. They charge you for wrong info to sell or buy a vehicle.
Nothing in the report that isn't available for free. No sale information, no current mileage, no owner information. Total ripoff.i
Getting reported to BBB
When you do the free report summary, it will automatically give you some red flags making you think you should pay for the full one to see them. After paying for the full one... there are no issues reported.
There was very little data given. Some of the data provided was incorrect. I wish I would have found all of these reviews prior to having purchased this useless paperwork
