Visa Visiteur, a visitor visa is easy to describe. However when applying for an appointment, after filling out an online application, the categories for the visa (in English) do not include visitor visa at all. There are dozens but none seem to match missionary workers applying for the long term visa that can be renewed each year. This appears to be purposeful discrimination and exclusion of the category that explicitly applies to visitors who will provide all their own financial resources as a legal non-working resident. This was a nightmare. They received my passport, visa application for Russia, and money order for $320 on June 12. I was leaving on July 25. I never heard from them, I called and emailed almost daily. They never could answer my questions or provide any help at all. On July 15, I used an expedited passport company, because I had heard nothing from these bozos. Ended up getting my new passport, and Russian visa from the expedited service the day I was to leave. In meantime, VFSglobal, which had never responded to my calls or to my emails sends me my original passport and visa on July 19, but they were useless because passport already reported lost. Customer service useless and never responded. Then I get a call from *******@vfsglobal.com day before I was to leave, asking what they could do to make this up to me. This happened I am sure because I had given a bad review to them on Trustpilot. I asked for my money back, he said ok, just send us copy of money order so we can check who signed it! So I did, no surprise, vfsglobal signed money order, and also no surprise, I have never received any acknowledgment or my money back. Plenty of other services you can use, save yourself so much grief and anxiety to say nothing of money and skip this terrible company.
