I stopped into the crystal river store having lowrance problems,and to fine Joe. Because every place I called for help near my home told me to go see him. I found a guy that went more than the extra mile. Joe and Bryce sent over an hour helping me out. Their service and willingness to help was the best. This store and guys are the real deal. I would recommend to anyone

.. Otherwise I wouldn't give that one either. They are a joke. They took 2400 USD from my card. And that is it. No goods, no acknowledgement, no money back. They told me my address is wrong! Sure, like I moved there yesterday and I have forgotten.
The worst possible service for the worst possible outcome. Stay away and if the happen to be the only ones selling whatever you need, stop fishing!

West marine almost doubled their -100 water soluble anti freeze to $21.00 in 2022 season from $13.99 last season. They are hammering us way to hard with this increase. I love the store but the prices are rising unusually way to fast.

I ordered sunglasses on 11/26/2020 which I received tracking for delivery on 12/2/2020. I waited until today 12/3 to contact West. The tracking just listed a delay with no explication. The salesperson was polite and agreed that they may be "lost" and agreed to send another pair. I received an email that they were out of stock and my original order canceled. I hope shipping companies will catch on and stop allowing pre-tracking numbers to be assigned until pickup.

Hahahahaha… one of the most ubiquitous marine retail outlets out there and this site trashes them. Are they the least expensive? Maybe not. Are they the most expensive or have the worst service? Hell no. I've always had very good customer service at West Marine and it remains a go to in my arsenal of boating relates retail needs.
I am most upset with your terrible and misleading service.
I was told that I would receive a notification when the item was available. As soon as I received such notification, I purchased the item but 2 minutes after I paid it, the system notified me that the item I had purchased and paid was in back order. S h a m e O n y o u!

I buy a Hypalon dinghy who fall appart in one side after 2 years, the warranty was 7 years. Claim after claim, they don't even reply. It's clerly a manufacture defect. This company have no words. I bring them to small claim court.

Well, here we go again... Ann the manager at West Marine store #34.12/20/2020 at 12:29 pm went out of her way to keep West Marine from price matching some 14 gauge wire from a local store because it was a different sized roll of stock wire and a different company that manufactured the wire.
A savings of 15 cents per foot for 25 feet of wire.
I'm usually not interested in going into West Marine anyway... but this is it.
I hate this company and what they represent... sad that they have to screw the boating community

I must say I was surprised because I didn't expect to find much selection at Westmarine since they are mostly for boat parts. Especially when I go into the store.
Bought a cooler that was drop shipped from distributor. All it needed was a label and a pickup. Took them four days to ship. Then I discovered they used the CHEAPEST ground rate they could. My order ran all over the U.S. and was in Florida for four days before it was "out for delivery". Still waiting.
I bought a spinning fishing rod combo, which includes a rod and a reel. The package comes as a trash old package, and there is no reel. $#*! it
Our 8 foot dingy purchased from West Marine on sale for $950, has lasted about 6 months before it is unusable. This is over three seasons and they will not honor a reasonable warranty. We put it in during the summer, use it to go back and forth to our boat once or twice a week and leave it tied to our dock. The surface is sticky all over and one's pants stick to it, the wooden floorboards started to deteriorate immediately with the paint peeling and a generally unsatisfactory look to it. We have been offered a 210 dollar credit against another dinghy, but I can assure them that we will not be buying another West Marine thingy, nor do we want to possibly continue to use them further

I purchased 2 Shimano Beastmaster 9000's off the west marine website. Initially I got an email stating they were on back order, no problem. Today, I get an email stating they don't have the items and refunded my money. A company this size must have an inventory system; what happened to the two electric reels on back order? Reel you in and fail to produce, no apology, no nothing.
Its boating season soon and my boat needed a speaker upgrade for the stereo system. Roswell is the official speaker of Supra boats. So I was looking for the best deal online. Amazingly West Marine had the best price on a new set of high output Roswell speakers. I must say I was surprised because I didn't expect to find much selection at Westmarine since they are mostly for boat parts. Especially when I go into the store. They came through for me online and I even got a 5% coupon. They have a wider selection online and they shipped to my door
Stay away from this company! Have yet to receive my order. No email stating it is out of stock or delayed or etc. Online order tracking is down so I have to call for any info. Every time I've called I get a different bs explanation. Be here tomorrow or Monday or it's in the truck all of which are obviously in true. It has been 3 weeks now and was stated to arrive in 4-7days. I have no idea if or when my package will arrive and the last time I called I asked to just cancel the order and was refused. They won't send my package and they won't refund my money so I can purchase elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with these clowns.

Ordered the product (2 of them at $550) product delivered was not as shown in pictures or discussed. Took multiple calls to return the product. Usually 75-200 percent over loxal overpriced mom and pop stores. Considering that they are a major Marie distributor ( Port supply) and supply many mom and pop stores, one would think they could at least match the local rip-off artist, instead, they hum it up your drawers even further!

In Southwest Florida, I am surrounded by West Marine stores which are all at least twenty miles away. When I get their sale "mini catalogs", they don't actually stock all of the advertised item/s I want, at the price advertised. Many basic staples of the boating world are often not in stock. HQ is distracted (perhaps by Catterton taking them over) but the chain CRIES OUT FOR MANAGEMENT, NOW! Customer service by phone reminds me of trying to call an airline in the 70's. Please, MANAGE this business, before it's gone! The one star rating is gratuitous.

I bought a fishing pole on West Marine in Key West when I get home I realize that the fishing pole was broken I couldn't see it because he was hiding behind the tag when I'm coming back half an hour later to return it the manager tell me that he cannot do anything about it. After me explain what happened that not even he his employee noticed that he was blocking because he was behind a tag he told me to pick another one and a change for the broken one. When I picked that one I just walk to the register He say paid the difference and get the $#*! out of here he's name is Devon
I ordered a couple extremely important blocks for my sailboat 5 days ago to replace one that broke on my last outing and one for a spare. I didn't even get an order confirmation for 3 days so I tried to call them and was placed as number 89 in their waiting line! So nobody answers the phone there. Then I tried to chat with somebody online in their "Customer service" department. What a joke. Nobody ever came on there either. I finally found an online form after searching through their website for 10 minutes that allowed you to cancel an order by order number. I did that and waited for a day to get a confirmation. No confirmation of cancellation. So I submitted the cancellation form again. Nothing back for a few days. Tried the chat again at night this time and somebody actually answered, but they could not cancel my order. So I had a supervisor call my cell phone and she couldn't guaranty the cancellation! WTF? Is this the year 2020 or is it 1995? Never again. I'm ordering from Amazon next time. 2-day delivery!
