An automatic pet feeder promising the world and delivering nothing but headaches with heartache on the side

1. Ordered 3 at a cost of $268.00 USD each only 2 worked correctly. I had to trouble shoot the broken feeder for them before they would replace it. Taking it apart replacing the believed broken part with a part from one of the working feeders. After I preformed a "service call" on their feeder they told me I had to pack the whole thing up and send it back. Thx for wasting my time. Why didn't I just do this right from the start? Foreshadowing….

2. The idea is you put all your food into the feeder, register your pet and let their Wizard figures out a feeding schedule for your pet!

So within a couple of weeks of having this feeder & following their instructions my pets each gained 2 lbs. which is a lot for cats.

I emailed customer service and asked how do I know how much my pet is getting per day. My Vet has said my pet needs to have no more than 70 grams of food a day. Their response
"Tell your Vet it's none of their business"

I asked how I could set it to allow a specific amount of food daily. I was told that was a "stupid idea" and way more complicated to do than just letting the Wizard decide for you. I was told. "Just keep weighing your pet and adjusting the percentage and the amounts till they are the right weight."

I thought the feeder was suppose to make my life easier? - Weighing your pet every couple of weeks and playing with settings hoping you have it right this time is easier how? I'm not even going to touch on how rapid weight changes are awful for your pet.

3. Programming the feeder is painstaking. No App for this thing It's old time programming which requires you to scroll through each of the menus and submenus, to make your required changes, saving one change at a time, which then sends you back to the main menu to start scrolling to the next option you want to change! Date, Time, Pets Name, daily allowance, portion control, daily cycle control, Autodiet %. Now you have to do that for each pet you want to use the feeder. You'd also better remember to select the right pet before you change anything.

The way the doors close on your pet while they are eating really caused grief for my one cat who is a slow eater. He now opens the doors, sticks his paws into the feeder paws the food out all over the floor and eats from there - they say in their literature that a pet can't trick their system. He has, as daily it shows as under fed. I know this isn't true because I measure out and provide only what is allowed in a 24 hour period but if the hooper was full (like they suggest) who knows how much he'd be getting….

I've talked to my Vets about this feeder, showed them the manual which they read, told them that they claim it's Vet approved. Their response was laughter. They doubt any reputable Vet would put their name to this product and asked if I was provided with anything that was proof and confirmable. The answer was no.

I lent my feeders to other ppl thinking maybe I'm doing something wrong "maybe it's me". So a Civil Engineer, a Law Student and two PhD candidates (in the sciences) took their turn with the feeders over a four week period. None of them had a good experience with the feeders. All of them said it was the stupidest thing they've ever seen. Good in principle, poor in design and accuracy.

I've reached out more than once to customer service about my concerns and every single time I'm treated like I'm an idiot. That what I'm experiencing isn't happening. They provide lengthy explanations without explaining anything. It's beyond frustrating.

As well all the reviews online are controlled by the company. There are some honest ones on Amazon but they are super hard to find as the product is t being sold through Amazon anymore. (Probably because ppl were being honest)

Bottom Line - I just want every pet parent to be aware not to fall for the online "pitch" the way I did. If you need to get insulted you can get that online for free & spend the $268.00 on a special something for yourself instead of feeder that makes promises it can't keep.

Tip for consumers:
Also trying to return something under the warranty is also problematic, as the Error is user related and not product. Again resulting in insults.
