“Very satisfied. Fast service, decent support”

If you are a freelancer, I would highly recommend this site. Much better than the crooks at payoneer, but they have stricter policies (which in the end is better for its users). They have many verifications initially (which took time and were a drag) but once an account is verified, than it was a breeze. Their rates are one of the best and transfers are almost instant. Some countries are not yet supported (esp business payments) but they have a good support

In your app and website. Companies can not do business. Because all systems are not the same. Barkley runs your system. African banks don't have a 9 digit account. They also run on Swift Codes. You will not except a 13 digit account coming from a bank you have lost that you will. ABSA Bank Ghana Limited. All of you do the same thing. A company is shut out because you won't accommodate 3 numbers.

Can you imagine what would happen to a company if it received noticed that in 4 days its debit cards would be de activated without any reason? But this is what Wise.com just did to all business accounts in the USA as per their notice of Oct 27,2023. Evidently they have some major problem with their previous US bank intermediary and the new intermediary would not transfer the debit cards. -- Recommend you pull all your money out of Wise to protest this, if you are a US business affected.

I was able to maintain a business account with Wise for over 4 years and since it was user friendly i kept this only business banking account for all my customers in EU, US & UK, out of the blue suddenly i receive an email that account is about to get closed for absolutely no reason at all.

My advise be safe from e-wallets they steal your money & you have to go through an entire legal procedure to get back your full refunds typical example of frauds are Monzo, Wise & Paypal.

Not recommended! Risk of losing your money.

I have been quite satisfied until my account has been closed with quite much money on it. The customer support replied I didn't prove the origin of money, but despite the fact I send all my bank statements available, I'm still writing emails and nobody replies. Apart, the page refers to a set of infinite documents why an account can be closed, meaning "closed just because we wanted to". Already two weeks to go. They gave an email and simply ingore while the customer support was quite quick.

Not recommended.

Tip for consumers:
Keep away or if decide to go, only small amounts without depositing anything into their wallet.

I have been a Wise customer for a very long time and never had any problems until today. They simply banned my account forever without the right to appeal, without the right to contact the customer support, because I bought cryptocurrency through P2P, and then asked them if it was allowed to do so and if it was not prohibited by their rules. This is the most hurtful and unfair reaction I have ever seen. The most unpleasant impression after such actions.

I've used Wise since 2018 (over 5 years) with only minor problems. Out of nowhere, they abruptly deactivated my account without explanation other than to say it's within their discretion to terminate NEW ACCOUNTS. HELLO, I've had this account for 5+ years with no issues on my part whatsoever. No accountability from this company, poor customer care and completely ridiculous. Over the years I've recommended their services to several people. But everyone I've recommended has complained and closed their accounts. I'm thinking about taking legal action. You can't treat Consumers that way!

On 13th of April, I placed a payment from Estonia to HK, that Wise promised to deliver in one day. And indeed in their app it shows up as SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED.
Yet, three weeks later I asked my supplier "where is the merch?".
Wise never delivered the money. Neither have they returned it.

Tip for consumers:
steer clear

They closed my account without previous notice or explanation afterwards. It's been over 15 days and still no news about the money I had in the account. Obviously, I was not doing anything illegal or against their policies. I will start legal action soon.

Wise is not allowing my business account to make any transactions. We already sent the documents, now it's full of bugs, it doesn't say the account is locked and the support is saying they will tell someone to verify it... Meanwhile I have a lot of recurring payments that are getting rejected. Anyone has this problem? It's a great reminder that we can't rely on this digital companies... We don't have a lot of money in this account but now I will need to configure other credit cards all over again in and... How can I recover this money and make a formal complaint?

Long story short: Wise is supposed to refund me a transfer for an important amount of money, but they haven't done it and more than two months have passed since the moment I made the transfer.

Wise blocked my account and asked me for proof of address and income. I have a legally registered company and receive some payments from partners to my wise account. I have sent in the following documents that are not expired etc.: a photo of my ID, proof of address from my local bank, a Bank statement not older than 3 months, screenshots from partners with payments, an Invoice with the data they asked for. They still ask for documents. At this stage, I feel like being a called fraudster.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use them for bigger transactions. I would even advise you not to use them at all, even if you have legal proof of your income, like myself.

I'm a very patient and understanding person, but after 37 days, 4 emails, 1 in-app message, and 3 phone calls resulting in 2 escalations, my measly $75 transfer was *still* pending...until I canceled it moments ago. After that experience, why should I ever use Wise again?

I submitted all of the information that Wise asked for: name, address, verified my phone number, social security number, passport, verified my selfie, everything. All three customer service reps told me everything looked fine and normal (two of those reps escalated my transaction). Yet after 37 days of waiting, it still wasn't enough for Wise to complete the transfer.

See attached screenshot as evidence.

Tip for consumers:
I'm sure plenty of people are happy with Wise, but I wouldn't recommend Wise at all.

Products used:
I tried to transfer $75, but my transaction did't go through.

Also, after I canceled my transfer, it still says "sending". So, I'm not even sure if my request to cancel the transfer went through correctly. It looks like I'll still need to dump more of my time into this, just to confirm the $75 isn't going to go through someday in the future.

The verifcation process took over 5 hours of my time. The software is complete rubbish. The customer support has no idea what is going on. I want to short this company all the way to zero. I really hope these krooks go out of business and take the entire staff with them. I would rather 8 weeks for a check then to ever deal with these chimpanzees again!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of having my Wise account summarily terminated without any valid explanation or recourse. After being a loyal customer for several years, I received an abrupt email notification out of the blue informing me that my account was being closed by Wise, formerly known as TransferWise.

To add insult to injury, the email provided no concrete reason for their unilateral decision. Despite my numerous attempts to reach out to their customer support for clarification, I was met with silence and indifference. It's appalling how a company can treat its customers with such disregard and disrespect, especially after years of patronage.

What's even more concerning is the complete lack of transparency and accountability in Wise's actions. They refuse to provide any explanation or avenue for appeal, leaving customers like myself feeling bewildered and cheated. It's clear that Wise operates with an alarming level of opacity, making it impossible for customers to trust them with their hard-earned money.

The cherry on top of this frustrating ordeal is the so-called "appeal process," which is nothing short of a farce. After waiting for two agonizing months, I was finally granted the opportunity to appeal their decision, only to have it summarily dismissed in less than a minute without any explanation whatsoever. This utter disregard for their customers' concerns is not only unacceptable but downright insulting.

In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering using Wise to think twice. Their arbitrary account closures, lack of transparency, and abysmal customer service paint a troubling picture of a company that cannot be trusted. Save yourself the headache and potential financial loss by steering clear of Wise. There are plenty of other reputable alternatives out there that actually value their customers and uphold basic principles of fairness and transparency.

Their transfer fees are very competitive and often lower than any other provider, and they appear to offer the best exchange rates in real-time.
Transferring money directly to your US bank from a foreign country can cost thousands more. My bank's exchange rate (Chase) pays $0.02 less than the current exchange rate, which can add up to a substantial amount when transferring a large sum of foreign currency. I received my funds from Australia and held them in AUD in my Wise account until the exchange rate was acceptable. I then converted AUD to USD and transferred the funds to my bank for a small Wise transfer fee, saving me thousands of $.
New for 2024, Wise is offering 4.85% APY on USD, and they are also paying interest for currency held in euros and pounds. I'm very impressed with their services, their website, and how easy it is to navigate. I have not used their App yet, so I can't speak to the usability and performance.

I had been using Wise on and off for about a year before things became RIDICULOUSLY complicated. One small transfer (150 EUR) took 3 weeks. Another 200 EUR transfer took 4. They keep refunding money to your account due to "financial regulations" which are never explained. The customer service is trained to send a list of responses no matter what your concern is.

It's like a black box. You try to send your money with no idea IF or WHEN it'll be transferred. And if by any chance you fail to provide a response to a question THEY ask within 2 days - WHOA! Threatened to cancel your account completely!

NEVER EVER using it again.

Wise promised same day interact transfer to Kenya. They accepted my transfer by Interac and DID NOT DELIVER OR ATTEMPT TO DELIVER TO KENYA

Instead they locked my Wise account without notice which prevented me from cancelleing the transfer.

Then it took me 10 days, and so many phone calls and emails that I lost count to recover my money.

Despite numerous subsequent email, messenger and phone call attempts they steadfastly refuse to explain their action

Worst customer service experience I have ever had, which is saying a lot from someone who deals regularly with Canadian banks and mobile communication providers
