I performed the minimal assembly required (handlebar and seatpost). Since the bike was shipped folded I attempted to straighten it, this was difficult as if there was paint inside the hinge. Then I could not get the hinge lock closed because the wings were bent too close to one another to allow the latch to be fastened. I had to use a hammer to straighten the wings. Then I was able to close the latch.

I was eager to try the bike at this point and rode it for maybe 1/4 mile before the right crank arm fell off. Neither crank bolt was in place. I was assured that crank bolts are on their way, but I will have had the bike for several days before I will be able to ride it.
