It's well known that people are more inclined to take the time to complain than to praise, so here is my take on this company's services.
I bought my hosting package in July 2017 and have had very few problems with my sites. The exception being when they migrated the servers; that was a mess. My experience with Lifetime Hosting is certainly no worse than with other hosting providers that I've used and paid a lot of money for previously.
I do agree that DirectAmin is a poor replacement for CPanel, especially the files manager. But it is workable.
All in all I've had to create just 8 support tickets in nearly 4 years and some of those were asking for things that weren't normally covered in my plan. I always received a prompt response and with the exception of the migration fiasco, requests and issues were resolved rapidly (24-48 hours). In general I have found the support staff to be friendly and capable.
