I got scammed by TopResume and this company did nothing to protect me. Will never use them again. $250+ down the drain. I just finished paying off this forced loan today (with no delivered usable product from TopResume) and am just as furious as when this all happened months ago. Total theft.

Tip for consumers:
I used Affirm to purchase an $800 elliptical and a $175 Bose radio in the past. I will not use them again after this insane experience.

Products used:
Purchased scammer resume service Top Resume who pays TrustPilot to delete bad reviews about them. Affirm did nothing to protect my purchase against these predators.

TopResume review

Super frustrating experience. I got generic intro messages from multiple writers and my resume was packed with spelling and grammatical errors. I had to have my project reassigned multiple times (which takes nearly a week each time).

It's now been over 3 weeks and I still don't have a comprehensive resume/cover letter to send out.

So disappointing, being that this company came highly recommended - and at nearly $300, it's probably smarter to just invest your hard-earned money elsewhere with a local company.

To sum it up, Quality Control is non-existent. The resumes are either written by ESL contractors or an automatic computer program. Maybe they were "Top" quality at one point in time, but not anymore.

Communication is also woeful. Although the company tries to make things right, it's like jumping through hoops to be clearly understood. They need to hire a few folks on the front lines who speak American English as a first language (or fluently), and check quality before orders go out.

Horrible customer service and shady business practices. They hide resort fees to offer the "low rates" they falsely advertise.

I was surprised by a $280 bill when I arrived at my hotel, AxelBeach in Miami, which TravelEuro denies any responsibility for.

When I booked my trip, the total price of my package claimed to include "all taxes and fees".

I tried to resolve this with both corporate and the BBB with zero response from them. Stay away - scammers.

Attached is my receipt for the undisclosed fees I was charged, which is in violation of U.S. consumer fraud law and H.R. 4489 - the Hotel Advertising Transparency Act of 2019.
H.R. 4489 declares that the practice of charging mandatory fees which are not disclosed WITH the advertised rate of a hotel room (excluding taxes and fees imposed by a government) is unfair and deceptive to consumers. (NOT hidden in the FAQ section of an expansive website).

It expressly authorizes the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to enforce the legislation and also permits State Attorneys General to do so as well, coordinating with the FTC.
