Looking for a place, found the house of our dreams. Clicked to get more information and was emailed back and told to "sign up" for apartmenthunterz.com and pay a registration fee of $50 if we wanted to get ahold of the landlord. They even said the house was available right now, but we drove by and clearly someone is still living there. Hopefully no one has actually paid this ridiculous scam.

They posted MY property on their site without permission and its not for rent! I tried to call...
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but we receive listings from thousands of property managers and we're unable to control how they operate their businesses. Some do charge a fee to work with them, which we frown upon, but RentalSource is 100% free for potential renters to use and will always be. Unfortunately, some property managers don't do a good job of deleting their rentals from our service once they're rented and we're constantly working to improve that. Overall - please contact us if you ever have an issue or find a listing on our website that is no longer available and we'll promptly remove it.
