This was my third hajj; first time with my family and first time in a group. Br. Azhar provided badges and string bags with the group logo which was very helpful as we could instantly identify other members of the group anywhere, most of whom I did not know but got to know because of this.
Br. Azhar helped us with finding quality Ajwah dates, shiping and also provided insightful commentry on ziarats. For those that required religious guidance, he was always helpful. He has a very friendly smile and was always approachable. He was very helpful with room allocation and everything else that was within his power. We enjoyed our hajj and were very happy with the blend of independence and group feeling.
The Hajj package was five-stars and to our liking and we made some very good friends. We stayed in the Clock Tower in Makkah and very close in Madinah. Kids loved the unique style of the Madinah hotel. The best part of both hotels was the service - all the staff were extremely friendly. The token food system in Makkah gave us an opportunity to try a variety of foods from a fast food restaurant inside the clock tower and I particularly enjoyed it.
Before the start of the Hajj, Br. Azhar took us around the jamarat to familiarise ourselves with directions and how to get to Makkah from there on the days after hajj etc. This was very useful.
Hajj i sa very busy period and occassionally there are things outside the control of the agent. For instance, when we went from Makkah to Madinah, we had a brand new coach used for the 1st time by us. On the way back it was of a very different quality. These sort of things happen, so be prepared for an occassional let down. This may happen no matter who you choose to go with!
