I have been a customer for a good many years now. I decided that this year I would not renew since I need to cut back on expenses. I wrote to customer service and received no reply so after a while I opened a dispute with Paypal.
After a week or so I got a reply from HMA saying that they would reverse the charge if I canceled my Paypal dispute which I did immediately, sending a copy of proof back to their rep.
Almost two weeks go by and 7 emails from me and finally they reply saying that it will take at least 4 weeks since there is an open Paypal case even though I have sent the proof several times that the case had been closed.
HMA is either highly incompetent, highly unethical or just plain spiteful. Also, there is no customer service telephone number so you are at the mercy of the emplyees reading and responding to email which they do a very poor job of. I clearly instructed them IN WRITING two weeks in advance NOT to renew my subscription but they went ahead and did it anyway. After having been a satisfied customer for all the years I was with them, I am now a very UNsatisfied customer and warn all would-be customers that their customer service is awful. Caveat emptor.
