The company, through other channels, offers very low initial subscription rates and then renews subscriptions automatically well above market (100%+ markup!) -- with no price transparency!
There's no email notification and when you see a pending renewal, there is no price listed - just "renewal fee not determined yet".
E.g., National Geographic just renewed for $68 when it is $34 on the NatGeo website. Amex flagged it as fraudulent charge and I just cancelled my subscription. We'll see...
