Do you want to interact with fellow artists? Do you want your art to grow? Do you want critique? Do you want quality? Do you want intelligent conversations? Well then, this is not for you. This is one of those communities where the term "artist" is just a term and no one there knows what they are talking about, there are just a couple of folks posting on a regular basis(maybe 3 or 4) so it's empty most of the time.The funny part is that it seems that all of them are hobbyists that started to paint a couple of months ago(at best) and any critique is immediately deleted. None of them there understands basic art terms or styles so if you plan to go there do it just for a laugh.

This is a huge site... and when I say huge I mean HUGE. You will find anything and everything there, all mediums, critique sections, all styles, art business, digital art etc etc and all of them are separate forums. You can find beginners and well known artists, hobbyists and passionate painters.If you don't like one community then you can move to another it's plenty of space for you to chose.

If you are a young and new artist and you want to get your name "out there" don't even think to go on FAA.It is a waste of time. Sure they have some contests(done by members) and you could submit your works and win... nothing and then gain some 1 or 2 likes per picture, but other than that it's a major waste of time.If you sell an original they won't promote you but if you sell one of their prints you get promoted... nooow how to sell prints? I have no idea... I for example haven't sold anything...
