Once having been advised by an FYE store manager that I could 10% on my purchase just for applying for an FYEVIP card and being assured that I could cancel at any time, I assumed that it was safe to trust them with my card data. Well much to my surprise, even after cancelling by phone two days later, they continued to bill my card monthly for the subsequent 5 months until I just happened to notice the $4.95 fee by chance one day. I called both the store and the CustSvc number livid with outrage,. This unauthorized monthly fee was of absolutely no value to me, yet even during cancelling there was continued pressure by them to sell me a service I did not need.

I will never sign up for any such "VIP card again at this or any other store. Admittedly if you are a person who plans to frequent this establishment or it's associated movie theaters then this may be a "deal" of some kind, however, a mandatory monthly "fee" to save a fraction on purchases does not strike me as a deal at all. I, of course, do not approve of the way they continued to charge me for a card I had already discarded. Without my authorization. They did reimburse me the $24 they had charged my card but left me with a bad feeling about ever trusting them again.

At no point is there any concern or focus on anything other than credit card Data, subscription or revenue generation. They adhere to virtually no proximity guidelines and do not allow for removal or revocation of subscription unless a member jumps through several well hidden hoops. I have yet to find a way to remove or cancel my membership profile, remove my Bank Card data, obtain any response from their support link, adjust my preferences or even unsubscribe from their emails.
