I brought in a10k good rope chain that was passed down to me from my father. It was appraised by a jeweler and insured for the last 7 years. The clerk tested it, low balled me for not even 1/10th the appraised value. I got him to come up s little finally. Saw him reach over and grab a different acid test bottle. Next thing he tells me that it is plated. I had already signed his paper for the transaction. I left feeling better that I didn't sell it but not sure why he kept the paper I signed. Makes me a little nervous. Has my thumbprint, picture, signature, etc.
