Booked a room that was supposed to be cancellable - emailed straight away when the reply stated it was non refundable. No reply from booking.coN - used their hotline many times - eventually after ages on Saturday spoke to an agent who couldn't help me - Now I need to go to a lawyer to sort the problem out. Never had any problems before - as soon as something goes wrong expect no help at all.

The company gets a lot of bad press in Germany - My experience backs this up. We booked a holiday over a website called ab-in-den-urlaub. This website sporned a window to book a holiday with another sister company travel24 - where a voucher I had purchased online minutes before could not be used. To make matters worse the holiday I booked had daytime flights - important when you travel with young children. Minutes after booking and seeing the website had switched I tried to cancel - I was told I couldnt as the flights were already booked - and confirmed as daytime flights. A week later a confirmation was sent with night time flights on a different day via Istanbul! (8 hours travel instead of 4 and 1 days less holiday) No chance to change anything - without paying over 1300€.
